Gomeroi songman and storyteller AKA the Koori King of Country, Roger Knox has announced the release of next single ‘Prison Wall’ on March 21, ahead of his appearance at Garinji Dandibara Djanaan in Toowoomba on April 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A co-write with collaborator Jon Langford, the Chicago-based artist and songwriter (Mekons, Waco Brothers) paints a moving picture of a man visited by his young son in the chokey. “I’ve been performing in the prisons for many years” says Roger. “It’s a place where you have to give it everything you’ve got.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘Prison Wall’ is lifted from Roger Knox’s forthcoming sixth studio album to be released later in 2025. A milestone release, the ‘Buluunarbi and The Old North Star’ album will be his first album containing original material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
