Andrew Farriss AM, one of Australia\u2019s most respected songwriters and the co-founder of INXS, returns with his brand-new single \u201c Mending Fences\u201d written with acclaimed Americana artist and songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. (Gary, Father\u2019s Son; Took A Walk with Shaboozey).\u00a0 His creative life today is shaped by strong storytelling, lived experience, and the rhythm of his farm in New South Wales where he writes between tours and seasons.\u000f\u000f\u201c Mending Fences is a song I wrote with Stephen Wilson Jr. when I was spending time in Nashville. It touches on the hard life of farmers, their day-to-day routines, and some of the emotional issues they may face. It\u2019s really a tribute to how much energy\u2014physically and emotionally\u2014the world\u2019s farmers put into their craft in order to provide food and products for the entire world.\u201d\u000f\u000fIn 2024 Andrew made his Grand Ole Opry debut, with Keith Urban appearing as a special guest during his performance. The appearance marked a defining moment in his solo chapter.\u000f\u000fHis debut solo album in 2021 delivered radio singles including Come Midnight and Good Momma Bad. You Are My Rock charted on the US Billboard Indicator chart, and With The Kelly Gang earned a Golden Guitar nomination for Heritage Song of the Year.\u000f\u000fAndrew will release his next album, The Prospector, in 2026, followed soon after by new music through the companion project Thunderbolt.\u000f\u000fEarlier in his career Andrew helped form INXS, a band that went on to sell more than 75 million records worldwide. INXS earned multiple ARIA Awards, Grammy nominations, a BRIT Award, MTV Music Awards, and induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
