This album includes 10 tracks, each a different type of love song. For these love-centered songs, Lauren Springs, Emily Stuckey Sellers and Rachel Grubb, draw from their lived experience with all forms of love. Delivered with emotional depth and beautiful harmonies, this collection of songs offers a poignant reflection on the complexity and nuance of love, especially for those fortunate enough to have experienced it in its many forms over time.\u000f\u000fIf You Only Knew showcases the evolution of The Krickets’ vocal-focused Americana sound, pushing the range within that sound as far as they ever have. Throughout the different iterations of the band, that harmony-driven songwriting style has always been the connecting thread. “On this album, every song is a love song from a different perspective. From romance to friendship, longing to estrangement, your own mind to a hater, it’s an attempt to capture them all honestly.” Lauren shares, “We chose the title track ‘If You Only Knew’ because you could apply that phrase to each of those perspectives and it would only emphasize how big love can feel, good or bad, in all those scenarios.”
\u000fExpressing the bone-deep ache of falling for someone you can’t have or are too afraid to tell, the title track “If You Only Knew” perfectly embodies the sentiment that follows a range of experiences with love and heartbreak. Glide Magazineraved, “’If You Only Knew,’ is an enchanting work of soulful Americana brimming with rich harmonies and poignant lyricism.” With clear emotive vocals and pristine harmonies punctuated by mournful guitar, “Right in Front of Me”, addresses the person who loved them through a hard moment but they had missed seeing it until now. Inspired by the times that Rachel’s been on the road away from her husband, “Away From You” captures a love that feels like home through raw impassioned harmonies and percussive instrumentals. A plea for patience and peace through troubling times, “Let Me Be” escalates from a slow burn banjo roll to an all out southern rock fest in four minutes.\u000f\u000fFor their third album, The Krickets returned to Florence, Alabama and Sun Drop Sound which is owned by Single Lock Records where they recorded their debut album Spanish Moss Sirens in 2016. If You Only Knew is produced by Austin Motlow and reunited the band with their Spanish Moss Sirens producer, Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes), who contributed keys to a few tracks. The album also features guests Sol Littlefield and Single Lock artist Caleb Elliott. \u000f\u000f“It wasn’t a hard decision, considering some of the greatest albums of all time have been recorded there by our heroes. Florence is also a beautiful and peaceful place that consistently inspires me whenever we visit. Our first album was recorded there nine years ago, and we had such a great experience working with Ben Tanner that it made sense to return to where it all began. This time, we had the opportunity to work with Austin Motlow, who is also at Sundrop Sounds. Working with Austin was fantastic—he gave each song his full attention and brought out the sound and life they truly deserve. When the album was finished, we didn’t want it to end. It’s safe to say this has been our favorite experience to date,” Emily stated.\u000f\u000fReflecting on how If You Only Knew came to be, Rachel shares “Albums are expensive to create. This album would not exist without the donations raised on our Kickstarter Campaign. We are honored and grateful for our supporters and we hope this album makes them proud.”\u000f\u000fAfter releasing 2019’s Redbird, their 2nd album, The Krickets went from being a four-piece to a trio. Original members Lauren and Emily were joined by Rachel on bass and vocals. They took their time figuring out their new sound with this line-up and spent time writing together. All the songs on the album were written by the three of them except the title track which Lauren wrote with two other female singer-songwriters, Sofie Zamchick and Genevieve Glimp, and “Your Light” which was a co-write between The Krickets and Eric Erdman.

“Really gorgeous.
