Written during Nathan\u2019s time in Nashville as part of the CMAA Sister Cities Nashville Exchange Program, \u2018Into It\u2019 was co-written with acclaimed songwriter and Aussie ex-pat Phil Barton. The track was born out of the excitement of chasing big dreams in country music\u2019s spiritual home.

\u201cI remember walking into Phil\u2019s writing room and telling him I just wanted to write a song that was fun to sing and play on stage and that\u2019s exactly what we came up with,\u201d\u00a0recalls the singer-songwriter. \u201c\u2018Into It\u2019 is about momentum, connection and chasing that good time high while you\u2019re in it.\u201d

Produced in Melbourne by Michael De Lorenzis – the maestro behind Nathan\u2019s hits \u2018Bigger Things\u2019, \u2018What Comes After\u2019 and \u2018Younger\u2019, – the single builds on the sonic direction Nathan has been developing, blending polished country pop with a nostalgic \u201980s edge.

\u201cWhen I got back to Australia, we worked closely together to really shape the track into what it is now, tightening sections of the lyrics and refining the structure until it felt right. We also wanted to push things slightly in a different direction. With artists like Russell Dickerson and Charles Kelley recently experimenting with traditional \u201980s instrumentation and synth textures, I felt inspired to explore the blurred lines of what\u2019s considered country and lean into that ambiguity.\u201d

The release is accompanied by a striking visualiser filmed during the Tamworth Country Music Festival with filmmaker Jeremy Minett of Eyes and Ears Creative at Dathem Park Sheep Station in Tamworth, NSW.

\u201cOne thing I\u2019ve always loved about working with Jeremy Minett is our ability to capture the mood and energy of a song with minimal planning and virtually no budget,\u201d\u00a0laughs Nathan. \u201cI sent Jeremy the track and asked if he had any time to shoot something while we were both at TCMF. We found ourselves parking a Ford Ranger on top of a grassy hill on the property, letting the headlights and the rolling landscape do all the heavy lifting.\u201d

The track featured on Spotify\u2019s New Music Friday (AU & NZ), Heaps Country and Release Radar playlists, with Nathan also serving as the cover artist for \u2018Heaps Country\u2019 for three consecutive weeks – including a run at the No.1 position.
