{"id":2919,"date":"2026-06-11T16:24:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T06:24:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zfmcountry.com.au\/?p=2919"},"modified":"2026-06-11T16:24:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T06:24:33","slug":"future-country-stars-revealed-in-mothertone-gympie-muster-talent-search","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zfmcountry.com.au\/index.php\/2026\/06\/11\/future-country-stars-revealed-in-mothertone-gympie-muster-talent-search\/","title":{"rendered":"Future country stars revealed in Mothertone Gympie Muster Talent Search"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>After judges described this year&#8217;s field as the strongest in the competition&#8217;s history, the finalists for the 2026 Mothertone Muster Talent Search have been revealed.<br>Twelve Open Category artists and six Junior Category performers have secured their place at the Gympie Music Muster, where they&#8217;ll compete for a prize pool worth more than $35,000 and the chance to follow in the footsteps of some of Australian country music&#8217;s most successful artists.<br>The Mothertone Muster Talent Search has become one of Australia\u2019s most respected country music talent competitions, helping launch the careers of artists including Brooke and Samantha McClymont, Mark O\u2019Shea, Drew McAlister and Brooke Schubert.<br>The 2025 Open Category winner Mackenzie Lee has recently returned from her prize trip to Nashville.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><a href=\"https:\/\/countryjourno.us14.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=f2d2865eed259fa9b9bcf61d0&amp;id=83d4345989&amp;e=914a465ba7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><strong>\u201cI cherished every moment I spent in Nashville and am deeply grateful to Mothertone and the Gympie Music Muster for the incredible opportunities I&#8217;ve experienced since winning the Open Talent Search,\u201d Mackenzie said.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u201cThe atmosphere in Nashville was truly magical, and collaborating with Michael Flanders Productions on my recording was an unforgettable experience. I can&#8217;t wait for my new song to be released later this year.<br>\u201cAdditionally, I had the chance to co-write with some exceptionally talented songwriters, which has definitely inspired me and reignited my passion for songwriting.\u201d<br>Talent Search Coordinator Michael Turner from Mothertone said the quality of entries had reached a new level in 2026.<br>\u201cThe thing we noted when looking at all the entrants was that the overall standard this year is the highest we\u2019ve seen,\u201d Michael said.<br>\u201cWe could easily have had 25 artists coming to the Gympie Muster in the Open category instead of the 12 selected. They\u2019re already making the judges\u2019 decisions hard, which is great to see.<br>\u201cThe Juniors will be strong this year too. There are some exciting talents we\u2019re looking forward to seeing.
