Fresh from their 15th Golden Guitar Award win at the Golden Guitars in January, The Wolfe Brothers, are back with new music from their forthcoming 8th studio album. This follows their ARIA #1 Album, Australian Made, that garnered them 5 x Golden Guitar wins, chart topping hits and a national tour that continues to roll around the country. \u000f\u000fThe first single, Wannabe, was produced by Nick Wolfe and Rod McCormack. The single was co-written by Nick Wolfe, Tom Wolfe, Phil Barton (Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett, Kaylee Bell) and Dana Heaton-Perdue (Hayley Jensen).\u000f\u000fAs Tom describes the single, \u201c Wannabe says a lot about who Nick and I are. Not just as songwriters and musicians, but as people. It\u2019s about appreciating the little things that make life great. This will be the start of what will become album 8! And starting that journey feels so exciting. \u201d\u000f\u000fAs Nick reinterates, \u201cWe’re pumped to finally get Wannabe out there and kick off what’ll eventually become album number eight for us. At its heart, it’s a song about being grateful for what you’ve got and not always chasing what someone else has. We get to play music for a living, travel the country and meet some amazing people along the way. So it’s a reminder to stop every now and then and appreciate that. We wrote it with our good mate Phil Barton, who’s been a longtime collaborator of ours. Phil’s an Aussie based in Nashville these days, and we’ve written a lot of songs together over the years. They first found fame in 2012 on Australia\u2019s Got Talent and after placing second they were signed to a management company, followed by a recording contract and then were hired by Lee Kernaghan to open all of his shows and also to play in his band. This became a very successful working relationship that lasted 10 years.\u000f\u000fThe Wolfe Brothers have achieved over their career five #1 and two #2 ARIA Country Albums that have delivered 20 #1 and numerous Top 5 and Top 10 singles on the National Country Music Chart. With 15 Golden Guitars lined up on their trophy shelf, 4 ARIA nominations and the two Countrytown wins the Wolfe Brothers are Australia\u2019s most awarded country rock duo in history.\u000f\u000fIn 2024 the brothers joined the biggest names in country music when they were inducted into Tamworth\u2019s Galaxy of Stars. This was followed by an induction to the Country Music Hands of Fame during the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2026. In March 2025, the band took a well-earned break from the road after two years of constant touring. They spent the next year performing at selected festivals around Australia igniting audiences with their high energy live show that never fails to impress.\u000f\u000fIn August 2025 they released their latest album – Australian Made. Following the success of the Australian Made album, The Wolfe Brothers took home 5 Golden Guitars in January at the 2026 Australian Country Music Awards: Album of the Year, Contemporary Album of the Year, Group\/Duo of the Year.
