Jake Whittaker Releases Heartfelt Single Next You’re Gone<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Australian country singer-songwriter Jake Whittaker is back with a soul-stirring new single titled Next You’re Gone, released on May 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Co-written with collaborator and producer Jared Adlam, Next You’re Gone delves deep into the aftermath of a breakup, capturing the raw emotions and longing for a lost love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Jared and I wrote this together, with Jared coming up with the title Next You’re Gone,” Jake said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s a break-up song that tells someone else’s story because neither of us have had a break-up since before we were legal drinking age. It’s about that feeling when someone leaves you, but you still hold onto hope that they’ll come back, even as you drown your sorrows at the bar.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the song’s melancholic theme, Jake emphasised its relatability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“My listeners will be able to relate to this song,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Sometimes you just need to have a blowout and let your emotions out.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Next You’re Gone, Jake continues to building his audiences and connect with his listeners on a personal level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I just like to write music that can connect with someone,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I want to write music that people like, that speaks to their experiences and emotions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
