Dean says: I am super proud to announce the release of my new single coming Friday March 28th, 2025. It’s a co-write with my sister Maureen and produced by the incredibly talented Jason Barry of Barrytone Studios. I have said it before and I will say it again, I am so blessed to be able to work with him. He is a monster talent and he always pulls the best out of me! My sister and I were introduced to a tequila that’s actually blue in colour “Tarantula Azul Tequila” by a good friend in Ohio. She likes tequila and blue being her favourite colour it was an instant hit! During the onset of the pandemic we joked about writing a song about that tequila. She later sent me an audio clip of her playing piano and singing a chorus. She intended it only as a joke but, the moment I heard it, I told her that’s a great song idea!

  • The guitar solo performed by Jason Barry is an awesome, self described “happy accident”.

Cali Tucker – Urban Cowboy

Award-Winning Country Artist, Cali Tucker, is back with a new single and video, Urban Cowboy. Urban Cowboy received a limited release last summer with Holler Country calling it “a peppy pop country fantasy dancefloor filler” and since then the single and music video have been streamed over 500,000 times.

Urban Cowboy is the embodiment of all the fairytales I grew up with,” Cali Tucker says. “The video tells the story of a young girl who is transported to a magical land filled with mythical creatures, none of whom ever encountered the Urban Cowboy. Together, they embark on a journey to help her find him. It’s a tale filled with hope, adventure, humor, and the relentless pursuit of love – a true romantic comedy at heart.” Keeping things in the family, the video feature Cali’s mom, 70’s country star LaCosta Tucker, and Cali’s niece, Adelin Tucker.

Cali Tucker, described last summer by People Magazine as “a blend of sweet and sassy…addictive” , has had a phenomenal year by any measure. Her music has amassed millions of streams on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. She performed the National Anthem for NASCAR’s Penzoil 400 in front of eighty thousand racing fans and to an estimated television audience of three million. Her music video, Country Couture, has become the darling of film festivals around the globe, including the New York International Film Awards, LA Film Awards, ARFF Paris, Accolade Global Film Awards, Onirus Film Awards, IndieX Film Awards, and The Las Vegas Music Video Awards where it won 4 trophies (Best Female Vocalist, Best Country Video, Best Song, and overall Judges’ Choice).

Raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Cali Tucker’s journey into the spotlight began early. At fifteen, she earned the title of Miss Teen All American and made her Grand Ole Opry debut at age 18. She rose to national prominence on Season 6 of NBC’s The Voice under the mentorship of Blake Shelton. Now, as a Las Vegas headliner, she continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to be a modern country artist.

Shanleigh Rose – We’re Not Friends

Shanleigh Rose – Sings of Heartbreak

And A Not So Friendly Love In Her Latest Single “We’re Not Friends”

In a multiplicity of breakup anthems, Shanleigh Rose’s “We’re Not Friends” makes its mark, capturing the hostile aftermath following the end of a not-so-friendly young love. A little bit country, a little bit pop, and just a touch of livid. ‘We’re Not Friends’ is the catchy reminder you need that your ex is NOT your friend. “Cause friends don’t lie and lead you on.”

Shanleigh Rose is truly establishing herself in the music industry. Her new single, “We’re Not Friends,” will resonate with anyone who has experienced the fallout of a tumultuous relationship. The song explores the emotional landscape of post-breakup hostility,

blending elements of country and pop with a raw and intense edge.

This powerful anthem reminds us that not all relationships need to transition into friendships. With poignant lyrics such as “Cause friends don’t lie and lead you on,” Shanleigh Rose effectively captures the essence of her message with compelling honesty.
“Often, people think they can treat you carelessly and have the audacity to try and call you a friend afterwards. In my case, this someone was an ex. I’ve learnt that self-respect and knowing what’s best for you are so much more important than letting your emotions allow the wrong kind of people to stay in your life.” Mention Shanleigh

The realisation only came after Shanleigh had finished penning the song. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I got a pretty cool song out of it. Shanleigh hopes “We’re Not Friends” will empower others to recognise their self-worth and determine who can call themself a friend.

REVIEWS FOR PREVIOUS SINGLE ‘BLACK TEAR TRACKS’:

“Roger Knox delivers a heartbreaking yet beautiful sonnet ahead of his forthcoming album”

  • ABC COUNTRY, AUSTRALIA. “Black Tear Tracks” REVIEW

“This song marks the joyful return of an artist whose voice remains strong over time. For those just discovering him, it’s an opportunity to enter the world of a musician dedicated to sharing stories through music. “Black Tear Tracks” is a reminder that Roger Knox is still here, performing and sharing important stories through his songs.” – Landon Buford USA, REVIEW

“Rooted in deep, genuine emotion and a nostalgic classic Country song, Roger Knox artfully and brutally showcases his immense artistic depth on his new single, Black Tear Tracks. The track’s eclectic sound draws listeners in from start to finish of this incredibly moving and meaningful track. Knox delves deep into the special bond between mother and child and the gut-wrenching repercussions of when those ties are severed by forces far beyond our control, Knox’s tender vocal provides the perfect backdrop and sounding board for this painfully genuine track. Knox’s vocal perfectly fits the song’s vibe and tenor adding yet another dynamic layer to this intense track.”

  • WORLDS OF COUNTRY, USA. REVIEW

“Known as the Koori King of Country, Australia-based Knox enters 2025 with his original track, ‘Black Tear Tracks’. A labour of love, the song was penned by Knox, Toby Marti and Jason Walker in 2015; however, it sees the light of day as the first original song from the acclaimed Knox a decade later. Produced by Nicolette Dixon and Toby Martin, ‘Black Tear Tracks’ shows duality in its sophisticated elegance but simultaneously raw vulnerability. It offers simplicity and barebones starkness but is wrapped within a kaleidoscopic rush of music.” – THE OTHER SIDE, GERMANY. REVIEW

Charley Crockett – Night Rider

CHARLEY CROCKETT RELEASES NEW ALBUM LONESOME DRIFTER – OUT NOW VIA ISLAND RECORDS

CO-PRODUCED BY CROCKETT AND MULTI-GRAMMY® AWARD-WINNER SHOOTER JENNINGS

“[LONESOME DRIFTER] SHARES A DEVOTION TO TRADITION WITH MUSIC BY TYLER CHILDERS AND STURGILL SIMPSON EVEN AS IT SHOWCASES CROCKETT’S LARGER-THAN-LIFE PERSONA.”

  • LOS ANGELES TIMES

Today, GRAMMY Award-nominated artist Charley Crockett releases his much-anticipated new album Lonesome Drifter, his first release for Island Records. Listen HERE . Recorded over 10 days in March 2024 at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles and co-produced by Crockett and GRAMMY®-winner Shooter Jennings, Lonesome Drifter finds Crockett continuing to refine and expand his “Gulf & Western” sound. Crockett’s encyclopedic knowledge of various strains of American music – country, folk, soul, blues, R&B, rock & roll, and more – are put through his singular prism. At the core of it all is Crockett’s songwriting, offering hard-won insights from a remarkable, and at times unbelievable, life. “I’d like to be known as a storyteller,” Crockett explains. “I’m trying to tell good, true stories in song.”

Crockett has already given his constantly expanding fan base a taste of Lonesome Drifter, releasing the title track “Lonesome Drifter,” “Game I Can’t Win,” and a retooling of fan favorite “Jamestown Ferry” ahead of the album’s release. Inciting tastemaker applause, Rolling Stone christened him “eternally prolific,” while NPR profiled him in-depth and marveled at how his work ethic “might even win him a GRAMMY®.”

Check out the full tracklisting below. Watch the “Night Rider” music video HERE.

In the leadup to release, Crockett engaged his audience by notably giving away 100,000 copies of a four-song sampler of Lonesome Drifter as a way to pay homage to his journey as a working musician. In addition to the CD sampler giveaways, special Lonesome Drifter listening parties took place at 132 independent records in 41 states.

Crockett will launch a special series of in-store performances this month, including tonight March 14th, at Waterloo Records in Austin, TX; March 15th at End of An Ear Records in Austin, TX; March 19th at Josey Records in Tulsa, OK; and March 22nd at Good Records in Dallas, TX.

Over the years, he’s kept his head down and delivered music at a relentless pace, refining his “Gulf & Western” sound and playing just as hard on the road to boot. Notably, “Lonesome Drifter” marks his 15th LP, major label debut, and first release as part of the “Sagebrush Trilogy.”

All of that work and life effectively prepared him to record Lonesome Drifter with Jennings. Musically, he traces a roadmap through his own myriad of influences, tipping a hat to everybody from Waylon Jennings, Bill Withers, Bob Dylan, and Woody Guthrie, drawing on countless, often unbelievable true experiences since he first left his native Texas. From the spellbinding vocal performances to the raw and rustic instrumentation to the unforgettable storytelling, Lonesome Drifter stands out as his most cohesive body of work to date. As such, the album is the sound of dues paid, strength gained, and wisdom earned shared on tape.

Crockett’s dance card for 2025 continues to fill up. In addition to the first round of “Lonesome Drifter Tour” dates announced last week, he will play his biggest headline show to date at NRG Stadium as part of the 2025 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo on March 17th.

ABOUT CHARLEY CROCKETT:

Some people politely wait for their turn, ask for permission, and take a shot at their dreams when the opportunity allows. Charley Crockett isn’t one of those people. He’s never just waited around, asked for permission, or let opportunity find him. Instead, the GRAMMY® Award-nominated Texas-born maverick defied the odds at every turn, tapping into a rebellious strain of country, releasing 14 albums independently, and grinding from obscurity to selling out some of the world’s most renowned venues. As Pitchfork points out, “in the decade it took Crockett to brush country stardom, the bygone era of music he loves and embodies arrived in the modern age. He is a key player in deciding where it will go next.” He has continuously pushed forward too. Since 2015, he has paved a singular path out of Texas. Beyond garnering hundreds of millions of streams, he picked up his first GRAMMY® nod for 2024’s $10 Cowboy. In the last year alone, he notably sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO, the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA and two nights at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Crockett and his music have also received praise from The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, and Variety. Speaking to his impact, CBS Mornings chronicled his journey, and he’s sat down for an interview on The Daily Show. Plus, he’s graced the stage for performances on Austin City Limits, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and CBS “Saturday Sessions” in addition to playing behind NPR Music’s “Tiny Desk.” With multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning Shooter Jennings as co-producer, the same unapologetic spirit, diehard work ethic, and no-nonsense honesty drive Crockett’s Island Records debut LP, Lonesome Drifter.

The Buckleys – See Your Folks Again

COUNTRY STARS, THE BUCKLEYS, RELEASE NEW SINGLE – “SEE YOUR FOLKS AGAIN”,

& INTRODUCE A NEW MEMBER INTO THE BAND

One of Australia’s most loved family bands, The Buckleys, are back with their highly anticipated new single, “See Your Folks Again”. The track comes just as the internationally acclaimed sibling group are about to join superstars Thomas Rhett, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, and more at CMC Rocks next week, Australia’s leading country music festival.

Up for “Group or Duo Of The Year” at the inaugural CountryTown Awards, held this month in Brisbane, the new tongue-in-cheek track was written by Sarah (lead singer, bass player and songwriter) with #1 hit songwriter Ned Houston and KINGSWOOD’s Alexander Laska – the latter also producing the track in Melbourne with the band.

The Buckleys, consisting of siblings Sarah (25), Lachlan (24) and Molly Buckley (22) are
also using the release to officially announce and welcome their youngest brother, Dylan Buckley (17), into the band as their permanent drummer – transitioning the group from a trio to a full 4- piece family band. This comes just off the back of an extensive touring schedule, including a run of shows with Casey Barnes, Thirsty Merc, KINGSWOOD and a number of music festivals last year.

“See Your Folks Again” sees the group leaning into their roots with a more organic, country production and a strong lyric-driven and storytelling focus.

“When we got into the studio, our only goal and intention was to pull out the most raw and honest emotion and tell some real stories. I think that comes with age and the fact that we’re all sorta entering a new phase in our lives – when we were introduced onto the scene, we were literally teenagers! So, it’s exciting to show people more depth, as we find it ourselves”, says Sarah on the track.

That being said, that fun, Buckley spark remains well and truly alight in this heartfelt yet playful new offering. She continues… “This song was actually inspired by my sister, Molly, after she had come home one day and told me about an epiphany she had just had where she realised that she was actually in love with the parents of the guy she was seeing, and not him at all. I thought it was a hilarious concept and predicament to find oneself in…so when I got into the studio with two ofmy great mates, Alexander Laska and Ned Houston, we really went to town with the whole idea! I love how it feels like a really beautiful, sentimental song, which in many ways it is that too, but if you actually listen to the lyrics it is so brutal!”.

Award-winning producer Alexander Laska (KINGSWOOD), says on the new material he has been working on with the band, “Working with The Buckleys is a refreshing, endearing, albeit whiskey fuelled, experience in honest, straight from the heart country music. In a world where everyone is jumping on the band wagon with their own version of coca-cola country, this remains a palate-cleansing, no-nonsense or dictate other than to serve the intention-that being, tell your story and frame it in the way that feels most authentic to you.”

“See Your Folks Again” gives fans a taste of what’s to come from this dynamic band with more new music imminent.

You can catch The Buckleys next at CMC Rocks and the Gympie Music Muster.

ABOUT THE BUCKLEYS:

The Buckleys have firmly established themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting young bands and dynamic live performers, known for their infectious charm and consistently fresh take on country music which has seen them achieve five top 5 charting singles, 4 x CMAA Golden Guitar nominations and droves of international acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone to American Songwriter Magazine, who stated The Buckleys “are so cool and authentic that the world has no choice but to sit up and take notice.”

Consisting of siblings Sarah Grace (lead vocalist/bass guitar), Molly (vocals, keyboard and mandolin), Lachlan (electric and slide guitar) and Dylan Buckley (Drums), the band have taken their electrifying live show to stages across Australia and the United States from Bluesfest Byron Bay to CMC Rocks, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Cafe, Music City Roots and more. An award-winning documentary on the band’s meteoric rise was also produced by Oscar-winning producer, Christopher Jenkins and directed by Grant James entitled ‘Take It As It Comes’. It achieved the Gold Award at the Independent Shorts Awards (Los Angeles, California) and was dedicated to the Chairman of Petrol Records and long-time manager of INXS, Chris Murphy, who signed The Buckleys in 2019.
