Five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan has released his new single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand.” The song was written by Chase McGill, Matt Dragstrem, and Geoff Warburton, and was produced by Jeff Stevens and co-produced by Jody Stevens. It will impact US country radio on May 15 and is from a highly anticipated forth-coming album.

Luke will perform “But I Got A Beer In My Hand” on the Sunday, May 21 season finale of “American Idol” as he, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie wrap up their sixth season as judges on television’s original singing competition. Tune in to the live coast-to-coast, three-hour season finale on ABC.

“I knew I wanted a fun up-tempo song everyone could enjoy this summer,” said Luke. “I can’t wait to start doing it live. It’s gonna be a blast.”

This song comes on the heels of Luke’s 30th #1 single “Country On” which closed out the 2022 charts as the final #1 of the year. During his career, he has spent 56 total weeks at the top of the US country radio charts, sold more than 15 million albums, garnered 20 billion worldwide streams, and has more RIAA certified digital single certifications than any other Country artist of all time with 81.5 Million.

Luke’s 2023 will continue with major touring plans beginning with the launch of his “Country On Tour” running June 15 to October 28, Farm Tour 2023 set for September 14-23, and his shows at Resorts World in Las Vegas dates August 30, September 2, 3, 6, 8 and 9.

Country Rocker Brook Chivell Wears His Heart On His Sleeve With New Ballad ‘Blue Eyes’.

Accomplished country music artist, Brook Chivell is set to release his highly anticipated second single release for 2023. The single ‘Blue Eyes’, is a heartfelt ballad that Chivell wrote many years ago and it promises to be another standout release in his career.

Produced by Jared Adlam at Machine Lab Studio and mastered by Paul Blakey, ‘Blue Eyes’ showcases Chivell’s exceptional songwriting ability and vocal range. The track features a cast of talented musicians from both Australia and Nashville and promises to be a must-listen for country music fans.

From the classic backbeat intro, to the twanging Fender guitar, The Rams are ready to set the benchmark in memorable beer songs with their new single, ‘Ice Cold Beer’.

The song started as a title challenge exchange between band members Troy Henderson and Adam Church.

“I was standing at the corner of Wentworth and Oxford streets in Sydney and I sent a text message to Adam with an idea about an ice cold heart and an ice cold beer,” Troy said.

“Adam was on holidays with a guitar and fired back a verse and a tweaked chorus. After many belly laughs and some crafting, pardon the pun, the song Ice Cold Beer was born.”

The band said the song came together very quickly in the rehearsal studio.

“We came up with a middle 8 that both Meatloaf and Fleetwood Mac would endorse, then Grev (Michael Greville) added some quenching guitar parts, and we finished it off in the recording studio twice!” Adam said.

“I had that mad professor moment where I knew it needed something else, but just couldn’t figure it out on the day. We knew this was an audience sing a long song, so it suddenly then obvious we needed more backing vocals. Troy and I headed back into the studio for some finishing touches.

“We knew we were onto something when we played it at a live show and the next day was approached by some in a shopping centre saying, ‘You’re in the band with the beer song’.”

The three band members said many of their songs begin as a title challenge or a text message and the ones that get momentum end up as collaborative finished songs.

Adam, Troy, and Grev have spent years touring the world and playing for other well-known artists. It’s time to let their own music shine. They bring their past into the present with a mix of rock, funk, blues, and a whole lot of country.

“We’ve worked with enough incredible artist to know what works and what doesn’t,” Adam said.

“It’s time we do that for ourselves with The Rams.”

The band describes their first release as like being in a new relationship.

“We don’t sit down next to you on the bar stool and pour our hearts out in the first 5 minutes. We want to be up, happy, and interesting to draw people in,” they said.

Ice Cold Beer showcases the band wants to have a good time and want their audience to as well.

“It’s a very accessible song both melodically and lyrically,” Troy said.

“The guy in this song feels like he’s in a country song, he feels like a cliché trying to bond and find a mate only to be used.”

The Rams’ music is all about making people feel something, too, and Ice Cold Beer is all about making people move, sing and feel thirsty.

Their film clip, directed by Dave Molland and Adam, has a pizza bar turned into what could be a bar in Nashville starring plenty of people who want to have a good time… including the band.

Clancy Pye Releases Brand New Single And Music Video, ‘Feels Like Home’. First Single Off Clancy’s Highly Anticipated Debut Album – Music Video Filmed In Clancy’s Hometown, Oberon (NSW)

Central West singer-songwriter, Clancy Pye is set to release the first single off her upcoming debut album on Friday May 12th alongside a music video filmed in her hometown of Oberon, NSW.

‘Feels Like Home’ is Clancy’s first release since launching her self-titled EP in 2020 which featured two #1 iTunes Country Chart Singles, ‘Get Lost’ and ‘Heaven Can’t Wait’.

Having spent the last two years writing towards her debut album, the 2020/22 Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist penned over 150 songs before heading into the studio to record her upcoming project.

“Songwriting has always been a real passion of mine” states Clancy. “Over recent years, I’ve delved a lot deeper into developing myself as a writer. In the process, I have been fortunate to grow a large catalogue of songs which made it exciting when it came to choosing songs to record for my debut album.”

Written by Clancy and recorded at The Vault Studios with Producer Sean Rudd, ‘Feels Like Home’ is an infectiously feel-good, guitar-driven track that embodies Clancy’s country roots. Having grown up on a property outside Oberon (NSW), Clancy drew a lot of inspiration for this song reflecting on her own family home and upbringing in the country.

“One of the strongest connections I think we all have in life, is our connection to home and those simple things that make us feel at home, wherever we may be.”

“As we go through life, I think we often come to think of ‘home’ as not necessarily a place, but a feeling and I wanted this song to capture those sentiments that other people might relate to as well.”

“Where I grew up has in many ways shaped the person I’ve become and what’s important to me. This song really sets the tone for the album which is why we wanted to release it first.”

Teaming up with Orange based video directors, Dave Smyth and Toby Howell (The Studio Door Creative), Clancy went back to her hometown of Oberon to film a music video which will accompany her single release.

“I really wanted to showcase the place that most feels like home to me in the music video. It was nice to go back to Oberon and film many of the locations I had in my mind when I was writing the song. It’s special to be able to share the places I grew up and my hometown in the video.”

With more songs in the pipeline for release, Clancy looks forward to sharing more music throughout 2023.

Who is Adam Wayne?

Rising Country Rock Singer-Songwriter Dan Henwood Shares His Love Of The Land In New Single ‘This Is Us’

Rising South-East Queensland country rock singer-songwriter Dan Henwood is rapidly finding his place amongst the country music scene. Set to release his new offering ‘This Is Us’ on May 12th, the song, which was co-written with multi-Golden Guitar winner, Lyn Bowtell, tells the tale about being in love and having a good time. This traditional country track with a modern twist also talks about the people on the land, what they do and who they are.

Adam has been mentored by very talented singer/songwriters and artists, just like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, he was mentored by some of the best.

From outdoor festivals, dance halls, ballrooms to your standard honkytonk, he has opened for various well-known artists; Easton Corbin, Shooter Jennings, Tracy Lawrence, Granger Smith, Joe Nichols, Chris Janson and Trace Adkins. He has performed in front of 10,000 fans opening for Frankie Ballard and Texas country music artists Aaron Watson, The Casey Donahew Band and The Josh Abbott Band. He has also shared the stage with Martin Zeller, Josh Thompson, Kevin Sharp, Bob Wooton (Johnny Cash’s Guitar Player), Billy Don Burns and Outlaw Country music artists Eric Lee Beddingfield and the late Wayne Mills. He has had the opportunity to open for country legends “The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band” and share the stage with members of the mega group “Alabama”.

Adam has released songs to country radio, “Down Every Road There’s A Rodeo”, “Keep On Pushing Ahead” , “Give All Your Love” and this May Adam releases his 4th National release “Over In The Holler”. A song about the hard working farmer.

His drive and perseverance in music has channeled him into acting. He was cast as an extra in a Jon Voight / James Caan / Melanie Griffith movie, “J.L Family Ranch” and held a private concert for Jon Voight and the crew in Kentucky. Adam was also cast as an extra in a Nicolas Cage film in 2017.

Still, we had a few things to look forward to as it was the year the Sydney Harbour Bridge was being opened after eight long, expensive years.

Our heroes were Don Bradman, Phar Lap, and a nine-year-old boy from Leongatha in South Eastern Victoria named Lennie Gwyther.

Golden Guitar winning singer/songwriter Matt Scullion loves Australia, and his forthcoming album ‘Nation Of Abbreviation’ certainly reflects his passion for our sleeping stories and larger than life characters.

Multi-award winner and fourth highest-selling Australian Country artist of 2022, Kirsty Lee Akers, is hitting the airwaves with a quirky new single, Getting Over You. Out on April 28, the track is described by Akers as a “happy break-up song” about a relationship that ends with no regrets. A welcome alternative to the countless angry break-up anthems in the world, the track channels the idea that even though relationships end, often the two people would do it all over again because what they had was something special.

“Jesse (Anderson) and I often joke that if we ever broke up, we would have to meet up on the weekends because we would miss each other so much.” – Kirsty said.

“Rather than being bitter and doing the things people expect when your relationship ends, this song is about being grateful with what you had, rather than something you regret.”

The track was co-written by Akers, and fellow hitmakers The Wolfe Brothers during the COVID-19 lockdown period, which tested many relationships, with many not making the distance. It was recorded and produced by Kirsty and her long-time band members, Paul Bain and Dan Ebbels.

Although ‘Giddy Up’ seems like it should be a sad song, it was written to give the listener a sense of closure. At the end of the story, the relationship ends but instead of being spiteful, the person in love wishes them all the best. Country singer-songwriter Jimbo Stokes launches his second single “Headed Country”. Jimbo teamed up with legendary producer Rod McCormack and Nashville’s Sally Baris to create the song.

The catchy “Headed Country” shows off Jimbo’s distinctive vocals in an honest narrative – a unique feel-good track that beautifully contrasts his debut release of “Atlas” late last year, which was a touching and heartfelt tribute to his late mother. The upbeat modern country tune tells the story of Jimbo’s move from the corporate world back to the country.

Born and raised on a sheep and cattle station near Tamworth, Jimbo returned to the Hunter New England region at the beginning of the 2022 after working, studying and playing rugby in Sydney. Country hasn’t always been Jimbo’s musical home, having trained as an operatic tenor under Christine Douglas (Director/Founder – Pacific Opera), but he returned to his first love during COVID-19 times.

To bring the single video to life, Jimbo worked with Manly-based videographer Piers Haskard (known for his work with Boss Hunting and Huawei) – filming in both Sydney’s CBD and the Upper Hunter Valley where Jimbo now calls home.

2023 will be his biggest year in music by far, with three releases forthcoming

Bryce Sainty is one of Australia’s best emerging country artists and he is kicking of 2023 with a bang. Coming off a massive 2022 with the release of his EP “Hometown”, Bryce accumulated over 3 million streams and performed with some of Australia’s biggest artists including The Wolfe Brothers , Tim Freedman (The Whitlams) and Andrew Farriss (INXS).

Jamie Lindsay is an artist who won’t be boxed in and his new single, ‘A Lifetime To Forget You’, is musical proof.

“This song is a really big power ballad from me with a cool story in the chorus,” he said.

“It’s about falling head over heels for someone the second you meet them and are absolutely consumed by them and you know, that whatever happens, you’re never going to forget that love.”

“It stemmed from labelling myself as a country rock artist – sometimes I’ll be more on the country side and, at other times, a little more on the rock side.”

The NSW Central Coast artist grew up on a healthy diet of country, mixed with strong influences from bands including Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and other rock powerhouses.

“From a songwriting point of view, ‘A Lifetime To Forget You’ could be about a crush or it could be the love of your life – we’ve all had that feeling,” he said.

“From a producer’s point of view, I wanted it to be like those ’80’s and ’90’s power rock ballads because I want to stretch my wings and the last thing I want to do is repeat myself.”

As a singer, songwriter and producer, Jamie said he wanted to demonstrate to music lovers what he could do, without being labelled and boxed into one style of country.

“I don’t want to be predictable and I’m going to song write for me,” he said.
