LEGENDARY AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY DUO, THE WOLFE BROTHERS, RELEASE NEW SINGLE – AUSTRALIAN MADE

With 10 x Golden Guitars under their belt and a further 2 x CountryTown Awards, The Wolfe Brothers, release their new single. The track, Australian Made, is the follow up to The Wolfe Brothers latest singles, Little By Little, Beer In A Bar and Country Is Coming To Town.

Australian Made, the new single, was penned by Nick Wolfe, Tom Wolfe, and country legend Graeme Connors. As Nick describes the journey for this single release, “We first teased an acoustic snippet of this song a couple of years ago and we have received comments ever since asking for us to release it. We wrote this song with the legendary Graeme Connors back in 2019, and it sat in the archives for a few years. The original incarnation was more of a ballad but one day it clicked that this had to be played in a more uplifting manner. We drew from the sounds of the late 80s early 90s Australian scene and are wrapped with how it has ended up.”

Thematically, Tom says, “If you know anything about Nick and I, you will know that we are very proud to be Australian. There was a time a few years back where Nick and I were going to move over to America. We had everything lined up including a major US recording deal – we were all set and ready to call another country home. The only problem was that’s not our home. This is our home, our friends are here, our family is here and the best things in life are Australian Made.

“It’s the right time for Australian Made. There is currently a huge country music boom happening here in Australia and worldwide, which we think is absolutely fantastic. Ian Burns embraces life’s precious moments in ‘Just One Minute’

Singer-songwriter Ian Burns releases his latest single, ‘Just One Minute’, a song inspired by life’s fragility and the importance of cherishing time with loved ones.

Written during a deeply personal time, ‘Just One Minute’ was influenced by Ian’s own experience of being diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma – a stark reminder of how precious life is.

“Being with the ones you love and your friends is of utmost importance,” Ian said.

“Making sure you get that time with them as much as you can – that became a priority for me.”

Apple Music has embraced the song on release, adding it to their Aussie Country and New In Country playlists.

Despite its deeply personal inspiration, ‘Just One Minute’ is an upbeat, feel-good song.

“I like upbeat songs myself, even though I tend to write a lot of slower music,” Ian said.

“I love playing the upbeat ones live. This one has some undertones about getting balance in life and making time for things that matter and that is our loved ones and the joy in our lives – that’s what really matters.”

The song also captures the unpredictability of life.

“We don’t know what’s around the corner – sometimes it’s tough, but sometimes it’s absolutely incredible,” Ian said.

“Life can be beautiful when you’ve got your friends and loved ones by your side.”

“My diagnosis never got me down, it sure rattled my cage, but I thought, ‘okay, how do I approach everything from here?’. What I try to do daily is look for the beauty and joy in everything, even in the tough times.”

Ian’s excited to perform ‘Just One Minute’ live and is looking forward to bringing it to audiences soon in solo performances and with his new band.

“I hope people enjoy it – it’s a fun song, and I’m going to be playing a lot more live with the band this year,” he said.

Looking ahead, Ian is planning to return to the studio to record a new collection of songs.

Good Will Remedy set to release single – “it’s Only Tuesday” on Tuesday 15th April

What does Tuesday actually offer anyone?

It’s a day that kind of gets lost really – it’s close enough to Monday to get a bit of overspill from those Monday blues – yet some distance from Friday and the weekend sparkle. The song It’s Only Tuesday recognises that the busy nature of life can come in waves and sometimes those waves peak really, really early and the week just isn’t long enough to cope, moreover you just can’t see the end of the week through the ‘mire’ – particularly if by Tuesday your week has already peaked, and the weekend seems a lifetime away!

Songwriter Will says on the song – “I was working in a quite stressful job, that was just so intense – all the time….and one day I had experienced one of those weeks that just start manic and continue to increase in intensity – and I thought – man this is insane….and It’s Only (insert expletive) Tuesday – and while I don’t want to encourage drinking as a coping mechanism – I certainly found myself drawn towards some ‘self-medication’ a little earlier in the week than normal to help me through.”

The track sees Good Will Remedy work again with Brisbane Engineer and Producer Jeff Lovejoy at his Brisbane based BlackBox studio and features Keyboard legend and virtuoso Vaughan Jones. The song really swings in a traditional southern rock feel and stands to be a crowd favourite for the band.

Corey Colum Rides Again With New Single

West Australian country artist Corey Colum is back with new single, ‘One More Ride’, a tribute to those chasing what they love, no matter how old they get.

This rodeo-inspired track tells the story of two men – one who was originally from Home Hill station and another in Onslow, WA who, despite no longer riding saddle broncs, remain deeply connected to the sport they love.

For Corey, ‘One More Ride’ is more than just a rodeo anthem; it’s a reflection of his own journey in music.

“The whole story came about from a couple of guys – one from the station where we were living, one in Onslow – both getting a bit older but still having a crack,” he said.

“I can relate to that because music is something I love, and no matter what stage I’m on, it’s still in my blood.”

Written in 2023 after he and his family moved to Onslow, ‘One More Ride’ marks Colum’s third single release off his upcoming album.

“I just want to get all the songs out,” he said.

“The Tamworth Country Music Festival was awesome – it was great to share these songs and catch up with people. I’m already looking forward to getting things organised for next year.”

With an album on the horizon for August, Corey is eager to share his music with fans, particularly those in the rodeo world.

“I think rodeo listeners will relate to this song, as well as musos,” he said.
