Canadian recording Artist and International touring act Aaron Halliday, is introducing the rest of the world to the first single released exclusively in Canada in 2018, as a prequel to the – yet to be named – New Album coming out later this fall. This single is very much indicative of the ‘Real life’ feeling between Aaron and his wife Sharyn. Written by Alberta/Nashville songwriter and performer Aaron Goodvin along with Shane Minor this song, despite the title, will have you Dancin’ All Night!

Mary Sarah – The Bottom
Short description of the release/song:
I grew up in a small town in Texas, which meant some of my first ever gigs were in blue collar bars and honky tonks. I have made so many lifelong friends in those places and, to me, you meet people right where they are at. No showing face, just in a bar to wind down and make memories! This song’s vibe is definitely a windows rolled down, singing it out with your friends down a back road.
Short Bio:
While others her age were spending their weekends partying, Mary Sarah was out working with the likeness of Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, and many more on her “Bridges” duet album where she paid respect to the legends before her. Wasting no time after a legendary album, Mary Sarah went on to receive a 4-chair turn and placed 5th on Season 10 of The Voice. Garnering more than 275,000+ streams on Spotify and over 200,000+ followers on all socials, fans are eager and anticipating much more to come. Her current singles, “Stubborn” and “Chain Smokin'”, bring a fresh yet familiar sound to the country music scene that is sure to leave a lasting mark.
The Wolfe Brothers – Beer In A Bar (feat. Kaylee Bell)
Powerhouse Australian country duo, The Wolfe Brothers, release new single featuring Kiwi born/Nashville based songstress, Kaylee Bell. This new song with Kaylee is the latest in a line of star-studded collaborations that have seen artists like LoCash, Lee Kernaghan, Amy Sheppard, Jack Jones and Travis Collins all join the brothers from Tasmania in the recording studio. This track, “Beer In A Bar”, is the follow up to The Wolfe Brothers recent hit, “Little By Little”, which was the fastest moving single on the National Country Airplay Chart this year, jumping to #2 in just 3 weeks.
Over their 12-year career The Wolfe Brothers have released 6 studio albums, been awarded 9 Golden Guitars and have amassed in excess of 20 million streams. The new single, “Beer In A Bar” , was written by Nick Wolfe and Max Jackson and was co-produced by Nick and Rod McCormack.
Nick said this about the single: “No good story ever started with a salad but many start with a beer in a bar. Tom and I are absolutely wrapped to be collaborating with Kaylee on this song. It’s been so good to watch her success over the last few years. While it may seem ‘overnight’ to many Kaylee has always been one of the hardest workers, best writers and solid performers on the scene for the last decade! We’ve written together in the past and talked about doing a song together many times. It feels right that Beer In A Bar is the one we’re finally joining forces on!”
Tom adds about Kaylee Bell, “We are so excited to have Kaylee joining us on this track. She is one of the most talented artists out there and not to mention one of the hardest workers. It’s also really cool that our great mate Max Jackson, who is also the Special Guest on our current tour, helped write this track. She is a super talent.”
Kaylee mentions, “I’ve been friends with the Wolfies for over ten years now and have always loved what they do and respected how hard they work. So, it was a no brainer to want to be on a song with them. They asked me about the collab in Tamworth backstage at a gig when we were all letting our hair down a little and I wasn’t sure they’d remembered asking me when I saw them the next day, so it was a bit of a laugh to find out it was a real thing and they sent me the song and I instantly loved the catchiness of the chorus and how I felt like I already knew it after one listen. So, I’m stoked to have a song with the guys and can’t wait to hear people singing this one back to us at shows.”
RhodoSun – OUR SWEET RIDE, Country Wedding Song
Our Sweet Ride, Country Wedding Song is an upbeat, uplifting, celebratory wedding song. The first of RhodoSun’s Countyline sessions with more country music tracks to follow.
Our Sweet Ride, features thoroughbred harmonica and guitar licks – with a touch of the 60s feel good flavours – that will make listeners smile and dance.
Rhodo says –
“I was at a beautiful wedding last year and as the dancing rolled out I started thinking – we got to have some new songs for these very special days , something happy, upbeat & danceable.
Country weddings are the best, especially nowadays with the bride & bridesmaids’ creative dresses, often with great boots or shoes and more frequently a bit of cheeky new tattoo display.
The groom and his guys all done up too, the single guys doing their moves, plus the Harleys or wagons and themed up decorations and flowers. Lordy, the whole shebang.”
RhodoSun is an Australian songwriter, producer and muso.
Blues, rock, pop and country are Rhodos favourite musical places He records with musos sharing the passion to play real instruments and sing in real time. The outstanding guitar solo is by Harry Alexiadis – a brilliant young guitarist and Sydney Uni Conservatorium graduate.
To all those getting married- enjoy your, Sweet Ride !
Hayley Jensen – Outskirts
Acclaimed country-pop star, Hayley Jensen, is ready set the airwaves ablaze with “Outskirts”. An upbeat, heartfelt, feel-good track about country living, out now via MGM Distribution.
“Outskirts” reflects on lasting memories made growing up in the country. Capturing the essence of carefree Friday nights cruising down red dirt roads with good mates & cherishing the tight-knit community in a small town.
“Outskirts” follows the release Jensen’s smash, “Stomping Ground”, which was added to Spotify’s iconic Fresh Country playlist for over 4 months, amassing over 600k streams across digital platforms. It also garnered extensive radio play across Australia’s major country networks and the music video soared in CMT Australia’s Official Top 30.
Jensen once again enlisted award-winning duo MSquared (behind “Stomping Ground” and the hits of Casey Barnes, Kaylee Bell, Taylor Moss and more), as well as Canadian hit maker Reluctant Cowboy Records (behind her ARIA #1 Country album “Breakin’ Hearts”) on the production of “Outskirts”, co-written with acclaimed Canadian songwriter Joni Delaurier, it’s a celebration of Jensen’s rural roots:
“‘Outskirts’ is about my life growing up on the outskirts of town,” Jensen explains. “My family & I lived on a 30-acre property about 40km from Canberra. Life was different for us compared to kids that grew up in the city…but I loved it and it made me who I am today, so I thought it was about time I wrote a song about it!
I was a mad horsey girl and rode every day. We had chooks, goats, horses (of course), and countless rescue animals. Weekends were spent fixing fences, chopping & stacking wood, riding in the forest, learning to drive in the paddocks & down old dirt roads, keeping the grass down so snakes didn’t come into the house… I caught the country kids’ bus to school and if you missed it, you were in big trouble!
She adds, “And there’s nothing like a party in the country! You can turn the music up as loud as you want, sing along at the top of your lungs, and no one can hear you. Some of my best memories are of inviting mates to camp over, lighting huge bonfires and partying into the night – no one complains. It’s the best! It’s hard work and good times making memories with the people you love. That’s life growing up in the country – on the ‘Outskirts’ of town – and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!”
Jensen’s illustrious career includes being a two-time CMAA Golden Guitar finalist for ‘Female Artist of the Year’ in 2022 and 2023, and receiving the ICMA ‘Most Popular Female Artist’ Award in 2024. She first gained national recognition as a Top 4 finalist on the second season of ‘Australian Idol’ and later wowed audiences on ‘The Voice,’ where she was praised by coach Kylie Minogue as ‘the whole package.’
A dynamic, powerhouse live performer, Jensen has headlined major festivals across Australia and internationally. Her notable performances include headlining the main stage at Tamworth Country Music Festival, as well as her own live shows, and international festivals such as the Calgary Stampede and Dauphins CountryFest in Canada, and Buckle & Boots Festival in the UK.
Hayley has just signed with Wheelhouse Agency and will be hitting the road to celebrate the release of “Outskirts” with a national headline tour (dates below). “I’m so pumped for these shows! There’s nothing better than live music. The connection you make with fans when you’re out on the road and the excitement of performing your songs for a revved-up audience shouting all the words back to you is like nothing else!”
With its upbeat energy, catchy and relatable lyrics about country living in Australia, “Outskirts” is set to become a new favorite at country radio and in country party playlists – get ready to experience life on the ‘Outskirts’!
Bryce Sainty – Bonfire
BRYCE SAINTY DROPS FIERY NEW SINGLE AND VISUALISER ‘BONFIRE’ AHEAD OF HIS DENI UTE MUSTER DEBUT
Ahead of his appearance at the iconic 2024 Deni Ute Muster, country riser Bryce Sainty unveils his blistering new single, ‘Bonfire’.
The singer-songwriter has made a name for himself crafting cruisy summer bops, like the recent summer smash, ‘Coast’. Peaking at #25 on the CountryTown Hot 50 airplay charts, the breezy hit landed additions to Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ and Apple Music’s ‘Aussie Country’, ‘Today’s County’, ‘Little Bit Country’ and ‘New Music Daily’ editorial playlists.
Bryce seriously turns up the heat on ‘Bonfire’. “It’s about the fire you feel for someone and no matter what you do you can’t help but be enchanted by it,” he reveals.
Collaborating for the first time with Nashville-based writer Kylie Sackley, the pair instantly hit it off. “Kylie has been a bucket list songwriter for me to work with and when we sat down and wrote this song together there was so much energy. I feel as though the song captures that.”
When crafting the blazing guitar solos and stadium-worthy drums on ‘Bonfire’, Bryce relied on the veteran ears of producer, Rod McCormack. “He is so good at being able to transform my work tapes and vision into something amazing.” That vision carries through in the captivating music video shot by Eyes and Ears Creative – despite the challenges posed by the weather during filming. “It was in the middle of winter, and it was freezing but we needed to capture the essence of fire and warmth. It was a lot of blankets off camera, but Jeremy and the Eyes and Ears team did a great job,” laughs Bryce.
Recently notching over 4 million total streams, Bryce Sainty has enjoyed an illustrious rise since his breakout 2020 single ‘Do You Remember’. The country dynamo has supported The Wolfe Brothers, The Whitlams Black Stump and Melanie Dyer, with dates lined up alongside INXS founder, Andrew Farriss, in October. If that wasn’t enough, he’s set to light up the stage at the Deni Ute Muster and recently announced a headline show at Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Bryce Sainty’s latest single ignites a new chapter in his musical journey, showcasing his signature blend of emotive lyrics and electrifying instrumentation. ‘Bonfire’ is certain to be another hit for the singer-songwriter, as he continues to blaze a trail in Australian country music.
Ashleigh Dallas – Setting Suns
Ashleigh Dallas Lights Up The Horizon With Her New Album ‘Setting Suns’, Released September 13 th 2024.
Five time Country Music Award Of Australia (Golden Guitar) winning artist, Ashleigh Dallas, is proud to unveil her sixth studio album, ‘Setting Suns.’
The new record, crafted with the expert touch of Country Music Award Of Australia (Golden Guitar) winning producer Brett Dallas, marks a pivotal moment in Ashleigh’s musical journey. The collaboration between father and daughter working on Dallas’ sixth studio album showcases their love and resilience, as outside forces created barriers that they had to overcome.
‘Setting Suns’ is a testament to Ashleigh’s evolution as a songwriter, as each track explores profound themes of family, love, unpredictability, and grief. The album also highlights the strength in Ashleigh’s own musicianship, with her playing an array of instruments including banjo and fiddle alongside fellow musicians Brett Dallas, Lindsay Dallas and Michel Rose.
Dallas has been consistently building strong foundations over her fifteen years of recording, however the strength and growth in her latest offering highlight her ability to translate personal experiences into universal connections.
Production by Brett Dallas, whose renowned craftsmanship has shaped some of Ashleigh’s previous award-winning works, sees Ashleigh’s vision come to life with a sound that is both fresh and deeply resonant.
The album reflects Ashleigh’s journey towards embracing her own legacy, celebrating the strength she’s gained, and the distinctive path she has carved in country music. We also see Dallas honour her songwriting, digging lyrics from her most inner self.
“This album is the beginning of a new chapter for me,” Ashleigh Dallas shares.
“Setting Suns is an album we leapt into at full speed, forced to then slow down to a barely moving roll, as we faced what life was throwing our way head on. Trying to look on the bright side, I’ve embraced further self-discovery and acceptance that I will continue to share with the hope of building a stronger authentic connection with my audience, and my industry.”
“On this record, you can hear where I’ve been, and excitedly, where I’m going. I believe you can literally hear the love of our little family unit, which continues to strengthen as we come together. It’s been overwhelming, sometimes confronting, but each step filled with pure heart.”
No PROMISES – Singing My Lines
Frustrated by being overlooked in the music industry for years, Janine was compelled to write Singing My Lines.
“Dear Australian Music Industry
What do I have to do to break through and be heard?
Why does commercial radio constantly ignore new Australian talent?
Am I….too old? Too Assertive? Not pretty enough? Do I not fit your mould?
Did I not pay for plays?
Good music does not have an expiration date and neither should women in this Industry.
Just listen.
Right now I’m in my prime. I’ve never sung better or written better.
And I’ll keep releasing great songs until you have no choice but to listen.
Just listen.
Check out my previous releases with my amazing music partner Eric Collier.
Then ask yourself why our music isn’t all over the radio already.
Song writing and performing is not a choice for me; it’s ingrained in my soul. The melody flows within me, deeper than you’d ever believe.
Songs hit me in the middle of the night, when I wake up, in the shower, while I’m driving, even in the middle of gigging.
I can’t ignore them and I won’t.
I’ll keep churning them out whether you listen or not.
I’m not going away because I have something to say.
We have so many amazing artists here in Australia but the industry isn’t listening.
Thank God for community radio, the Aussie Muso’s champion.
To everyone else, play more NEW Australian content It’s time. It’s my time.”
Sincerely yours,
Janine Garvey

Pete OBrien – Black Shirt
‘Black Shirt’ is a cheeky double meaning song. Country fused with Blues makes a magic riff, with lyrics which will be stuck in your head. A meeting with a saucy woman who is dangerous, that leads to more trouble. Pete wrote the song and played all instruments. Pete is releasing his music song by song in the modern music world, more than releasing Albums. ‘Black Shirt’ is very catchy and you may be caught singing it out loud in public.

About Chancey
Saddle Bronc athlete-turned neo-traditional country music sensation Chancey Williams, has gone from competing on horseback to performing on center stage. As one of only two artists (along with Chris LeDoux) to both compete in the rodeo and perform on the main stage at Cheyenne Frontier Days and the only singer/songwriter to be endorsed by CINCH®, Williams is the next authentic cowboy of country music. The northeastern Wyoming native has toured the nation, taking the stage ahead of headliners Toby Keith, Cody Johnson, Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley and Parker McCollum, performing at a sold-out Ryman Auditorium, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as headlining at The National Finals Rodeo and multiple performances at the Grand Ole’ Opry.
“For us, it’s been a long journey of playing against what was popular in country music, but we just stayed the course,” Williams told People Magazine of staying true to his roots. “I always tell the band, don’t worry about whatever any other artist is doing. We have blinders on.”
Representing the western lifestyle and cowboy mentality in its truest form, Williams’ sound and subject matter has found its time in Nashville’s country scene, as demonstrated on his latest release, sixth studio album One of These Days. One of These Days released to rave reviews, supported by the likes of People, Billboard, Taste of Country, Whiskey Riff, Holler.
Saving Country Music wrote, “If we could wave a magic wand and instantly remake mainstream country music into something much better than what it is today, Chancey Williams and his new album One of These Days would not be a bad wish at all.
“The time has finally come for Chancey Williams,” declared People Magazine. “Cowboys are cool again!”
“If we could wave a magic wand and instantly remake mainstream country music into something much better than what it is today, Chancey Williams… would not be a bad wish at all.” – Saving Country Music
Running Touch – Lost
He’s heralded as one of the country’s most enigmatic master-of-all trades. Today Running Touch embarks on a new era with the release of ‘Lost’ , his first new music in 2 years.
A fiercely versatile talent and one our hottest exports, Running Touch refuses to be boxed into any style or genre.
‘Lost’ is a deep, expansive slice of dance-pop. Set to deceptively sunny synth stabs and guitar licks, Running Touch’s searching, soulful vocal tells the story of getting swept away by lust, and the claustrophobia that follows as the fire burns out and the relationship feels hollow.
Inspired by mixed media, poetry, literature, movie scripts and travels, Running Touch’s lyrics are sincere and emotive, imbuing personal observations with the drama and romance found in the finest works of art. His music is brooding, dark and sexy as often as it is heartfelt, highly danceable and frequently fun. It’s the sound of a real one giving it everything he’s got, unafraid to push the boundaries as he boldly navigates unexplored terrain.
For the official video, Director CIAN Marangos worked with Running Touch to bring his concepts to life. Having performed ‘Lost’ live on tour with Chase Atlantic, Running Touch says of his new video, “I had to suddenly go overseas so this video happened in the space of a few days from end to end. It really forced it to be authentic and fun.
A lot of what’s to come is visually influenced by my roots and just having a good time, So the ideas that I came up with were based around hardcore/heavy music, my Polish heritage and my friends.
Shot and edited by the incredible Cian Marangos. Cian is a visionary and cut from a different cloth. When things go through his filter and his mind – it will end up beyond your expectations.”
The ‘Lost’ video features friends and band mates, including the likes of Ocean Grove and Adult Art Club.
After a period of profound growth as a person and musician, the Running Touch project is now at its most fully formed, with an enhanced focus on vocals and live performance and a determined step into the spotlight. His years of playing in live bands arming him with the confidence to rock a captivated crowd. Marrying his well-honed studio and performance skills with the unmatched energy and raw emotion of the hardcore scene he cut his teeth in, RT has come full circle in 2024.
Next month Running Touch returns to the stage performing his new live show at Yours and Owls Festival on Oct 12th in Wollongong.
About Running Touch
The songwriter, producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and creative director has drummed up plenty of attention here and overseas boasting more than 250 million streams and several multi-platinum certifications.
There’s been an APRA win for Best Dance Record (for “Better Together”, with Hayden James). A sold-out album tour supporting the 2022 release of his acclaimed debut solo LP Carmine, streamed 27 million times, and a surprise performance at Coachella. Recent life-changing moments include touring with Chase Atlantic in Australia, New Zealand and London’s three sold out nights at the Eventim Apollo performing to 15,000 people. Sold out shows across Australia and the UK. Two sold out headline nights at the Forum and performing on top of a mountain in Hakuba Japan for the infamous ‘CERCLE’ are only a couple of major moments that have built his ever-growing audience.
Running Touch is more than just another name on an overcrowded electronic music circuit, his dexterity and daring is the sign of a true artist.

Sammi Palinkas – Sunset State of Mind
Rising Australian contemporary Country artist Sammi Palinkas is releasing her latest single “Sunset State of Mind”.
All about slowing down and admiring the beauty of a sunset, and used as a metaphor for life, “Sunset State of Mind” is an uplifting and empowering song that will bring a smile to your face, as you reflect on all the beautiful things life has to offer, when you slow down and take a moment to look around.
“Rod McCormack and I were bouncing around ideas for our next write, and I wanted to create something musically inspired by the late 90’s country era I love, and the likes of Faith Hill” Palinkas said. “We joined forces with Nashville-based writers Sam Gay and Templeton Thompson. After reminiscing on how busy life had been and the inability to find a moment to slow down, “Sunset State of Mind” was born. I’ve always had a fascination with sunsets and how they can make the busiest people stop for a moment to admire the beauty. “Sunset State of Mind” is a reminder for us to slow down and truly experience all of life’s joys whilst we’re able to, just like we’d experience a sunset. We don’t try and change, fix or judge a sunset, we take it all in, appreciate it with an open mind and heart, and accept what’s right in front of us. I love what that moment stands for. It’s a beautiful message and a great metaphor for life that I want to share with others. Musically we wanted to capture the real essence of that experience and for that reason it has become my happy song. The one I put on and grin from ear-to-ear for a second, just like I would in front of a sunset. I hope it brings happiness to everyone who hears it”. – Sammi Palinkas
Having already made waves in the country music scene, Sammi is putting the finishing touches on her 15-track debut album, with award-winning Producer Rod McCormack (Paul Kelly, The Wolfe Brothers & Lee Kernaghan). Her first Country single “Meet in the Middle” debuted at #3 on the Australian iTunes Country chart, #8 All Genre and charted on the official CountryTown National Airplay Chart. Follow up singles “You’ve Lived”, “Don’t Blink” and “Let Your Hair Down” all debuted in the Top 10 on the Australian iTunes Country chart, as did her Christmas single “From Me to You”. Most recently she released country power ballad “She’s Mine to Love” demonstrating her capability as both a singer and heartfelt writer, and “In a Country Song”.
Sammi Palinkas’ journey in music began at the age of three, fuelled by a diverse range of musical influences that include country greats like Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Loretta Lynn. From winning a national televised singing competition at the age of eight, to captivating audiences on stage and television, Sammi’s passion for music and performance has been evident throughout her life.
Her dedication to her craft has taken her across the globe, where she has collaborated with renowned songwriters and producers in cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville. With performances at major events like the VFLW Grand Final and ‘Big Hug Day’ as well as recognition from organisations such as NSAI and the International Songwriting Competition (ISC), Sammi Palinkas continues to solidify her place as one of Australia’s most promising country music talents.
“Sunset State of Mind ” is the second last single ahead of Sammi’s debut album and forms the next piece in her ever-growing catalogue.
Jimbo Stokes – All For You
Rising talent, Jimbo Stokes, has started the year with a bang! Off the back of a successful Tamworth Country Music Festival; Jimbo Stokes secured a partnership with ABC Music kicking off with the release of his first single, ” Got Me Good”; which impacted streaming and radio play.
Jimbo returns with his second single, the deeply personal, “All For You”. As Jimbo describes the song, “It’s about repaying those that had faith in you, particularly when you may have lacked it yourself. It can be hard sometimes to find the motivation to self-improve, but I think knowing it’s not just about you can really help. ‘All For You’ is raw and close to home, but I’m sure anyone who draws inspiration from loved ones, whether they’re family or past relationships can resonate.”
The Scone based country singer had his breakout year in 2023, which saw two singles rocket up the country music charts and assert himself as one to watch. The momentum continues this year with a series of singles planned and an EP slated for later in 2024.
Bruce Mackay Songwriting (Feat. Anthony Snape) – Forever Legend
‘FOREVER LEGEND’ is the story of a little boy’s desire and journey towards country music stardom…just like his dad.
The song is a direct result of Lyricist Bruce Mackay attending his first Country Music Festival in Tamworth earlier this year.
Aside from being “blown away” by the incredible talent wherever he looked, the number of “family” groups performing left an indelible impression on him. So much so, that upon his return Bruce wrote ‘End of the Beginning’ sung by Adrian Payne and more recently this release, ‘FOREVER LEGEND’ with Anthony Snape, both reflecting the generational pull of Country Music

Will Day – Home Town
Co-written on his recent trip to Nashville with Bill DiLuigi and Scott Barrier, “Home Town” is Will Day’s latest compelling offering. Taking a change of direction with this track, “Home Town” is a heartfelt, emotive ballad pulling on the heartstrings of the listener showcasing a more delicate side of Day’s vocals. Evoking a strong sense of imagery, “Home Town” tells the story of a person’s strong connection to the place they grew up in and whilst a lot hasn’t changed for both of them, there’s still one thing missing.
“On a recent trip to Nashville, I was fortunate to work with some amazing writers. “Home Town” was the first track written on the trip. It was a pleasure to collaborate with Bill and Scott, they’re amazing writers. I’m known for releasing country rockers, so I thought it was time for a ballad again as it’s been a few years. Joining forces again for this first single with renowned produced by Matt Fell; who worked on his past three #1 ARIA Australian Country album release, “Lightning Strikes and Neon Nights”, “The Art of Letting Go” and “Call Out For The Cavalry”.
As Andrew describes the new single, “I’ve found myself saying, ‘hot damn, it’s been a minute’ a little more often than I’d like to be. Time seems to have been getting away a little too easily the past few years and catching up with friends feels like it’s happening less frequently. But when we do get together, things pick up exactly where they left off. I always enjoy writing with Phil Barton, and this song was no exception. We always seem to get on the same page very quickly and always manage to write something I’m excited to record and release.”

Melanie Dyer (feat. Dylan Wright) – Deep End
Prolific country singer/songwriter, Melanie Dyer, has established herself as a leading female contemporary country artist who bounces her career between her home in Australia and country music’s capital, Nashville. With hit singles under her belt and industry accolades, Melanie releases her new single, “Deep End”.
The track is a collaboration featuring this year’s Australian Idol winner, Dylan Wright. Fresh from his win on the national TV program, Dylan has cemented himself as an accomplished vocalist and songwriter in his own right.
As Melanie describes the track, “Deep End is about that moment you’re falling for someone and while figuring out if it’s reciprocated, your heart’s gone and thrown you in over your head. The song wasn’t written as a duet, but after living with the demo for a year, it became obvious that it was missing a male voice and perspective. After hearing Dylan’s incredibly smooth and soulful voice on the Sons Of Atticus releases and again when he won Australian Idol this year, I knew he was the guy for the song. I was so happy he said yes right away!”
“I wrote “Deep End” with Phil Barton and Forest Whitehead in Nashville, June 2023 and exactly a year later I went back to Nashville where Tom Jordan (Seaforth) produced the song and recorded my lead vocals. A few days after landing back home, Dylan jumped in the studio to record his vocals remotely.”
Dylan confirms, “I’ve always been a big fan of Mel and when she asked me if I wanted to be on a track with her, I couldn’t hold back my excitement. I absolutely love the song and I think our vocals work so well together. We’d only met for the first time while recording this song but she’s so talented and such a joy to be around that it felt like we’d been working on music together for years.”
Melanie Dyer is currently touring Australia and will be joined by Dylan Wright at the Gympie Music Muster.
