Carter Faith – Grudge

Rising Nashville vocalist and songwriter Carter Faith unveils a new song, “Grudge,” today. ‘Grudge’ is just a silly little song that I wrote to get some pettiness out of my system,” says Faith. “I think we all have one or two people we can think of who pissed us off good 😉 Thanks to Tofer Brown and Steph Jones for writing this one with me!”

Faith, who is gearing up to release her debut album, will join Little Big Town on tour this summer. The shows include pavilions and amphitheaters across the country kicking off in Rogers, AR on July 24. The new dates come in addition to a recently wrapped tour with Ella Langley and Faith’s current run with Carly Pearce. She also makes her Stagecoach festival debut this month in Indio, Calif.

Earlier this year Faith debuted a new track, “If I Had Never Lost My Mind…,” to widespread acclaim. The song followed her Capitol Records Nashville debut The Aftermath EP last fall, which featured a duet with Alison Krauss and drew praise from Billboard, The Tennessean, American Songwriter and more.

Faith continues to build her fanbase in Nashville and beyond, recently signing with Universal Music Group Nashville and Universal Music Publishing Group. Other 2024 highlights include her performance at CMA Fest, her twelfth show at the historic Grand Ole Opry, her first shows in London and Berlin at Country to Country (C2C) Festival, contributing vocals to Bon Iver’s “AWARDS SEASON” and supporting Luke Grimes on tour for the second year in a row.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Faith relocated to Nashville after college to pursue her dream of becoming a country musician, learning the ropes from seasoned professionals who saw her massive potential. Fast forward a few years, and Faith has accumulated over 117 million global streams on tracks like “Wild,” “Greener Pasture” and “Already Crazy.” Her soaring vocals and authentic storytelling, paired with a delicate delivery and breezy confidence, have captivated audiences and led to stages shared with Little Big Town, Keith Urban and one of her biggest influences, Willie Nelson. Furthermore, she was recently featured on MusicRow’s Next Big Thing and All Country News’ Artists to Watch lists for 2025 and has been featured in CMT’s 2023 Next Women of Country and LISTEN UP 2024 campaigns, in addition to being the first country artist featured in Spotify’s Fresh Finds multi-genre program.

Rory Phillips (feat. Dobe Newton) – Dear Mum And Dad

Rory Phillips Releases Stirring Single And Video For ‘Dear Mum And Dad’

A poignant tribute to the ANZACs by the 2023 NSW Folk Federation Young Folk Artist of the Year, featuring Dobe Newton OAM of The Bushwackers.

Country and folk artist Rory Phillips is set to release his highly anticipated single, ‘Dear Mum and Dad’, on April 11, 2025. The heartfelt track brings a fresh, emotional perspective to the ANZAC legacy, telling the story of a young boy who runs away from school to enlist with the ANZACs during World War I.

The narrative unfolds through a series of letters written by the boy to his parents, capturing his journey from bravery and youthful optimism to the tragic despair of war. As the letters progress, listeners experience the emotional highs and lows of war, culminating in the devastating news of the boy’s death in battle.

‘Dear Mum and Dad’ is a powerful exploration of bravery, loss, and the harsh realities of war, framed through the lens of a young man and a family’s heart-wrenching sacrifice. Rory Phillips’ songwriting, penned at The Academy of Country Music in collaboration with Andrew Scharf, Jayne Denham, and Alan Caswell, creates a moving portrayal of the ANZAC experience. Produced by Roger Corbett at The Valley Studio, the track features the iconic voice of Dobe Newton OAM, best known as enigmatic frontman for The Bushwackers and as co-writer of the legendary song ‘I Am Australian’.

“This song is one of the most poignant songs about the ANZAC experience that I have come across in my lifetime,” says Roger Corbett of The Bushwackers.

‘Dear Mum and Dad’ marks the third single release from Rory Phillips, following his success as the 2023 Folk Federation of NSW Young Folk Artist of the Year. His deep connection to storytelling and “music with a message” shines through in this release, demonstrating his commitment to preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage of Australia, with a nod to his own New Zealand lineage as well.

Phillips claims “I’ve been participating in ANZAC Day marches and services from when I was a baby in a pram, so when Andrew Scharf came to us at The Academy with this idea for a song, it truly resonated with me, and I wanted to make it my own. With his blessing, and with financial support from the Country Arts Support Program, administered by Eastern Riverina Arts on behalf of the NSW Government, I think I’ve been able to achieve that.”

Fans of Rory Phillips can stream ‘Dear Mum and Dad’ on Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms starting 11 April 2025. The song is accompanied by a powerful and moving music video, created in collaboration with Tracy and Josh Beveridge of Roaming Creatives, and was shot on location at Newcastle’s Fort Scratchley and The Rail Motor Society at Paterson NSW. The touching music video will be released prior to ANZAC Day, and it beautifully complements the song’s emotional narrative.

Kirsty Lee Akers – Marlboro Man

KIRSTY LEE AKERS RELEASES EMOTIONAL NEW SINGLE ‘MARLBORO MAN’ – A HEARTBREAKING BALLAD WRITTEN WITH LEGENDARY CO-WRITER BYRON HILL

Acclaimed country artist Kirsty Lee Akers has unveiled her much-anticipated new single, ‘Marlboro Man’ – now available on all streaming platforms. Co-written in Nashville with the legendary Byron Hill, a distinguished member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Marlboro Man is a compelling blend of raw emotion and authentic country storytelling. The song delves deeply into the themes of heartbreak and disillusionment, capturing the essence of a relationship with someone who initially appears to be a hero, only to ultimately leave you more broken than before-much like the elusive and flawed figure of the Marlboro Man.

“I’ve always been drawn to stories of love that are both beautiful and bittersweet,” says Akers. “Marlboro Man tells the story of a romance where you fall for someone who sweeps you off your feet, only to realize they’re not the one who stays. Writing this song with Byron Hill was especially meaningful to me. Byron has penned many of the classic country hits I grew up singing, and he was the very first person I co-wrote with when I first arrived in Nashville as a teenager back in 2005. To still be writing together all these years later is a very special feeling.”

Byron Hill, renowned for his extensive contributions to country music, brings his wealth of songwriting expertise to the track, while Kirsty Lee Akers’ powerful vocals and the soulful twang of the Dobro serve as the heart and soul of this timeless country ballad. Marlboro Man evokes the spirit of traditional country classics, reminiscent of the songs once heard on country radio.

A two-time Golden Guitar winner and star of The Block, Kirsty Lee Akers has earned a reputation for her emotionally charged lyrics and commanding voice. She continues to captivate audiences with her authentic storytelling, cementing her place as one of the leading voices in modern country music. Kirsty once again took on the role of producer for this track alongside her co-producer and drummer, Paul Bain. The track also features the hauntingly beautiful background vocals of Melody Pool, further enriching the emotional depth of the song. Marlboro Man is the latest in a string of standout releases that further solidify Akers’ place in the country music landscape.

The track is available on the 11th April on all major streaming platforms. For more information, promo requests, or to schedule an interview, please contact:

The Wolfe Brothers – Australian Made

LEGENDARY AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY DUO, THE WOLFE BROTHERS, RELEASE NEW SINGLE – AUSTRALIAN MADE

With 10 x Golden Guitars under their belt and a further 2 x CountryTown Awards, The Wolfe Brothers, release their new single. The track, Australian Made, is the follow up to The Wolfe Brothers latest singles, Little By Little, Beer In A Bar and Country Is Coming To Town.

Australian Made, the new single, was penned by Nick Wolfe, Tom Wolfe, and country legend Graeme Connors. As Nick describes the journey for this single release, “We first teased an acoustic snippet of this song a couple of years ago and we have received comments ever since asking for us to release it. We wrote this song with the legendary Graeme Connors back in 2019, and it sat in the archives for a few years. The original incarnation was more of a ballad but one day it clicked that this had to be played in a more uplifting manner. We drew from the sounds of the late 80s early 90s Australian scene and are wrapped with how it has ended up.”

Thematically, Tom says, “If you know anything about Nick and I, you will know that we are very proud to be Australian. There was a time a few years back where Nick and I were going to move over to America. We had everything lined up including a major US recording deal – we were all set and ready to call another country home. The only problem was that’s not our home. This is our home, our friends are here, our family is here and the best things in life are Australian Made.

“It’s the right time for Australian Made. There is currently a huge country music boom happening here in Australia and worldwide, which we think is absolutely fantastic. We wanna raise our hands up and be that Australian voice for the next generation and do it in our way. The best things in life are Australian Made.”

Announced as Ambassadors for the Gympie Muster 2025, standby for more news on a forthcoming album release from The Wolfe Brothers.

Ian Burns – Just One Minute

Ian Burns embraces life’s precious moments in ‘Just One Minute’

Singer-songwriter Ian Burns releases his latest single, ‘Just One Minute’, a song inspired by life’s fragility and the importance of cherishing time with loved ones.

Written during a deeply personal time, ‘Just One Minute’ was influenced by Ian’s own experience of being diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma – a stark reminder of how precious life is.

“Being with the ones you love and your friends is of utmost importance,” Ian said.

“Making sure you get that time with them as much as you can – that became a priority for me.”

Apple Music has embraced the song on release, adding it to their Aussie Country and New In Country playlists.

Despite its deeply personal inspiration, ‘Just One Minute’ is an upbeat, feel-good song.

“I like upbeat songs myself, even though I tend to write a lot of slower music,” Ian said.

“I love playing the upbeat ones live. This one has some undertones about getting balance in life and making time for things that matter and that is our loved ones and the joy in our lives – that’s what really matters.”

The song also captures the unpredictability of life.

“We don’t know what’s around the corner – sometimes it’s tough, but sometimes it’s absolutely incredible,” Ian said.

“Life can be beautiful when you’ve got your friends and loved ones by your side.”

“My diagnosis never got me down, it sure rattled my cage, but I thought, ‘okay, how do I approach everything from here?’. What I try to do daily is look for the beauty and joy in everything, even in the tough times.”

Ian’s excited to perform ‘Just One Minute’ live and is looking forward to bringing it to audiences soon in solo performances and with his new band.

“I hope people enjoy it – it’s a fun song, and I’m going to be playing a lot more live with the band this year,” he said.

Looking ahead, Ian is planning to return to the studio to record a new collection of songs.

This project was made possible by the Regional Arts Fund, an Australian Government program that supports sustainable cultural development in regional and remote communities in Australia. The program is managed by Regional Arts Australia and administered in NSW by Regional Arts NSW.

Good Will Remedy – It’s Only Tuesday

Good Will Remedy set to release single – “it’s Only Tuesday” on Tuesday 15th April

What does Tuesday actually offer anyone?

It’s a day that kind of gets lost really – it’s close enough to Monday to get a bit of overspill from those Monday blues – yet some distance from Friday and the weekend sparkle. The song It’s Only Tuesday recognises that the busy nature of life can come in waves and sometimes those waves peak really, really early and the week just isn’t long enough to cope, moreover you just can’t see the end of the week through the ‘mire’ – particularly if by Tuesday your week has already peaked, and the weekend seems a lifetime away!

Songwriter Will says on the song – “I was working in a quite stressful job, that was just so intense – all the time….and one day I had experienced one of those weeks that just start manic and continue to increase in intensity – and I thought – man this is insane….and It’s Only (insert expletive) Tuesday – and while I don’t want to encourage drinking as a coping mechanism – I certainly found myself drawn towards some ‘self-medication’ a little earlier in the week than normal to help me through.”

The track sees Good Will Remedy work again with Brisbane Engineer and Producer Jeff Lovejoy at his Brisbane based BlackBox studio and features Keyboard legend and virtuoso Vaughan Jones. The song really swings in a traditional southern rock feel and stands to be a crowd favourite for the band.

Good Will Remedy release “it’s Only Tuesday” to radio and industry on Tuesday April 8th and to all streaming services Tuesday April 15th.

Rip Gerber – Three-Chord Town

“Three-Chord Town” Charted to #1 on Amazon Music in March, 2025.

I’m Rip Gerber, a 62-year-old country artist making my debut with “Three-Chord Town,” a deeply personal anthem that just hit #1 on Amazon Music. Written in the wake of my 28-year marriage ending during the COVID-19 pandemic, this track channels my journey from heartbreak to resilience after losing my father, job, health, and marriage, and moving to Nashville for a fresh start. Born on a Steinway piano-ironically a gift from my ex-wife-and inspired by a creatively charged weekend in the Bay Area, the song blends raw honesty, humor, and irony, capturing the ache of lost love and the dream of starting anew. Featuring poignant lyrics and a heartfelt “Gimmies Choir” led by my son, it’s a bittersweet reflection on life’s upheavals that resonates universally, as noted by Americana Highways, which exclusively premiered the music video by Gonzalez Media Productions.

“Three-Chord Town” is more than a song-it’s my therapy, born in Nashville’s 12 South on a chilly night in 2021, where I turned pain into music that saved me. It’s about what lingers after loss-the burdens we leave behind and the treasures we carry forward-striking a chord with anyone who’s faced life’s sharp turns. With its mix of country storytelling and emotional depth, I’d be honored if you’d give it a listen and consider sharing it with your audience.

The official music video of “Three-Chord Town” has surpassed 100,000 views on YouTube and video streaming platforms.

Shanleigh Rose – We’re Not Friends

Shanleigh Rose – Sings of Heartbreak

And A Not So Friendly Love In Her Latest Single “We’re Not Friends”

In a multiplicity of breakup anthems, Shanleigh Rose’s “We’re Not Friends” makes its mark, capturing the hostile aftermath following the end of a not-so-friendly young love. A little bit country, a little bit pop, and just a touch of livid. ‘We’re Not Friends’ is the catchy reminder you need that your ex is NOT your friend. “Cause friends don’t lie and lead you on.”

Shanleigh Rose is truly establishing herself in the music industry. Her new single, “We’re Not Friends,” will resonate with anyone who has experienced the fallout of a tumultuous relationship. The song explores the emotional landscape of post-breakup hostility,

blending elements of country and pop with a raw and intense edge.

This powerful anthem reminds us that not all relationships need to transition into friendships. With poignant lyrics such as “Cause friends don’t lie and lead you on,” Shanleigh Rose effectively captures the essence of her message with compelling honesty.
“Often, people think they can treat you carelessly and have the audacity to try and call you a friend afterwards. In my case, this someone was an ex. I’ve learnt that self-respect and knowing what’s best for you are so much more important than letting your emotions allow the wrong kind of people to stay in your life.” Mention Shanleigh

The realisation only came after Shanleigh had finished penning the song. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I got a pretty cool song out of it. Shanleigh hopes “We’re Not Friends” will empower others to recognise their self-worth and determine who can call themself a friend.
