In just over twelve months since launching her country music career, Sara Berki has released three Top 20 singles and an acclaimed debut EP, performed at the iconic CMC Rocks festival, sold out her first ever ticketed show and was recently announced as the special guest on Travis Collins ‘ Any Less Anymore Tour’. Now, Sara starts the next phase of her music journey with the release of her stunning new single, “A Boy That’s Into Trucks”.
Another heartfelt, self-penned story-song (Sara has been the sole writer on all of her releases to date), “A Boy That’s Into Trucks” was produced by Nash Chambers and recorded at Kasey Chambers’ Rabbit Hole Recording Studio on the Central Coast and mastered by Steve Smart.
The genuine and touching song is very personal to Sara and was written about her partner, Patrick. Sara said, “This was an easy song to write because the narrator is me and the subject is my partner, Patrick, but this could be about anyone and any interests. It’s a song of passion, joy, and gratitude, for the one’s we love and all the things that make them who they are.”
The stunning artwork and music video was captured by first time video director, Nina Jay Brown. Sara commented, “I love the artwork and music video, which was created by my great friend, Nina Jay Brown and filmed around the Camden area in Sydney. The video features Patrick and an old Chevy, which actually broke down on the day of the shoot – Pat got it going again of course!”
Sara has been performing the song at live shows over the last six months and it has struck a chord with audiences of all ages, impressive for a song which proudly wears its country music influences on its sleeve. Sara is looking forward to taking the song to new audiences when she joins Travis Collins as special guest on his upcoming ‘Any Less Anymore Tour’, as well upcoming festivals including the Groundwater Country Music Festival at the Gold Coast.
The Bundaberg born, Southern Highlands raised singer-songwriter made an impressive debut in 2022 with her first three singles reaching the Top 20 of the CountryTown Hot 50 airplay chart and strong playlisting on digital platforms. The singles, “Fallin’ off the Heartline”, “Good Enough” and
“Drinking for Free” were followed by the release of debut EP, “Heartline” in January 2023. The five song EP was produced by Simon Johnson (Troy Cassar-Daley) and mastered by Grammy Award winner, William Bowden (Gotye).
Sara recently signed with Country & Americana music agency, Wheelhouse, a joint venture between industry powerhouses Chugg Music, Select Music and artist manager, Dan Biddle and fans can look forward to more music releases and more touring on the horizon. This is just the beginning for Sara Berki.
