AMBER LAWRENCE DELIVERS THE ULTIMATE SUMMER ANTHEM WITH HER NEW SINGLE ‘SOMETHING TO DANCE TO’
Fresh from headlining festivals across Australia and Europe, 6 x Golden Guitar winner Amber Lawrence unveils her new single ‘Something To Dance To’ – an empowering, feel-good anthem destined to light up dance floors this summer.
Penned with Aussie-turned-Nashville hitmakers, Kylie Sackley and Phil Barton, the track is a reminder that sometimes life just calls for something simple, something fun – something to dance to! “This might just be the song for summer,” says Amber. “A light-hearted, breezy but kickin’ call out to get yourself on the dance floor.”
Amber’s signature ‘girl power’ stamp on contemporary country delivered her previous smash ‘Comeback Queens’, which stormed to #1 Most Streamed and #1 Most Downloaded on the Play MPE charts, climbed to #2 on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian airplay chart, and #22 on the CountryTown Hot 50 airplay chart. The single also picked up heavyweight playlist support across Spotify (New Music Friday, Heaps Country), Apple Music (New In Country, Aussie Country, New Music Daily), and Amazon (Brand New Music).
Now, with ‘Something To Dance To’, she channels that same infectious energy with a fresh twist. “Something to Dance To is inspirational in a different way,” she shares. “Go out and let your worries slip away and let your dance moves do the talking!”
Produced by Stuart Stuart (Sheppard, The Veronicas) at Brisbane’s Analog Heart Studios, the track sparkles with a mix of pop-country shine and gritty rock attitude.
The release lands in the middle of a whirlwind year: a 50-date national run with the ‘You Can Admit You Like Country Music Tour’ (with plenty more shows to see out 2025), a career highlight headlining the Visagino International Country Music Festival in Lithuania (her first European festival, performing to thousands), and a trip to the Philippines to entertain Australian troops.
Off stage, Amber’s been chasing milestones of another kind – completing her first half marathon, a 21km trail run through Lake Parramatta’s bushland. “Although I did have a few trips, falls and grazed knees!” she laughs.
‘Something To Dance To’ is another taste of Amber’s forthcoming new album – arriving early 2026 – already teased by powerhouse singles ‘Kick the Doors Down’, ‘You Can Admit You Like Country Music’ and ‘Comeback Queens’.
With 6 x Golden Guitars (including 2 x Female Artist of the Year), 2 ARIA nominations, and back-to-back CMC Female Artist of the Year wins, Amber has carved out one of the most successful and enduring careers in Australian country music. And if her new single is anything to go by, she’s still finding fresh ways to surprise, delight, and get audiences moving.
