Hunter Valley singer-songwriter Kylie Jane ushers in spring with her soaring country ballad ‘ Seasons Changing’ – a powerful reflection on the different seasons of life, and the hope that comes from knowing even the hardest ones eventually pass.
 
Driven by Kylie’s huge vocal range and authentic country production, ‘Seasons Changing’ finds beauty in life’s uncertainty. 
 
“Season’s Changing is about the different seasons we all move through in life and love,” she explains. “We’re constantly growing, changing and figuring things out, and sometimes life doesn’t go the way we planned. There are seasons where we’re falling apart, seasons where we’re putting the pieces back together, and seasons where we’re simply learning, growing and doing the best we can.”
 
Arriving on the first day of spring, the timing gives the track’s central metaphor a fitting real-world backdrop – a new season of growth and, for Kylie, the beginning of a new chapter in country music.
 
“For me, this song is about embracing those changes and remembering that the harder seasons don’t last forever. There’s always a new beginning around the corner, especially when you have someone beside you who feels like your solid ground through it all.”
 
‘Seasons Changing’ was written with rising singer-songwriter and producer, Jake Davey, though it wasn’t what the pair had planned to work on that day. Kylie had arrived at the studio to record an entirely different song before a conversation about the changes unfolding in both their lives sparked something new.
 
From there, the song took shape naturally, with Davey also producing the single and the pair leaning into a warm and uplifting sound that gives Kylie’s powerhouse vocal plenty of room to soar.
 
“Once we had the idea, the song came together really naturally. Jake just got the feeling and story behind it, and we wanted the production to feel warm, uplifting and real. I love that when I listen to it now, it takes me back to where we both were in our lives when we wrote it.”
 
The accompanying music video brings that sense of change home to the Hunter Valley. Filmed at Tyrrell’s Wines, the clip begins among the warmth and intimacy of the winery’s wine room before moving outside into the vineyard as the sun begins to fall. Golden light, open country and the transition from indoors to sunset provide a natural visual counterpart to the song’s themes of change.
 
 
For Kylie, ‘Seasons Changing’ also represents a continuation of her return to country music after a career that has moved freely between country, pop and soul.
 
First coming to wider attention through an appearance on The Voice in 2016, Kylie went on to release her debut album Black Swan and perform the Australian National Anthem at Newcastle’s inaugural Coates Hire 500 Supercars Championship. She has since shared stages with Pete Murray, Thirsty Merc and Alex Lloyd , while her country debut ‘Missing Piece’ earned high rotation on ABC Country during Australian Music Month.
 
Now firmly establishing her next chapter as an independent country artist, Kylie has amassed more than 250,000 global streams, with previous single ‘Saloon’ passing 40,000 streams and multiple releases appearing on the AMRAP charts.
 
The move towards country feels particularly natural for an artist whose life away from music is firmly rooted in it. Kylie now lives on a 20-acre property in the Hunter Valley, where horses are as much a part of her everyday life as songwriting. A keen rider, she competes in showjumping and eventing, while also running tiny-home accommodation on the property.
 
It’s a life that increasingly mirrors the music Kylie is making – grounded, personal and unmistakably country.
 
With ‘Seasons Changing’, Kylie Jane captures the uncertainty of not knowing exactly what comes next, while holding onto the simple reassurance at the heart of the song: seasons change, difficult moments pass, and there’s always the possibility of something new around the corner.  

Following the success of her heartfelt single She’s a Bird, South Australian singer-songwriter Jo Page takes a bold turn into darker territory with Here Lays She That Hated Everyone, the final single before the release of her debut EP, Reckless & Redeemed, arriving on 4 th  September.Fuelled by thunderous drums, gritty guitars and unapologetic attitude, the country-rock anthem tells the story of a woman the world wrote off long before she stopped caring what it thought. Equal parts tongue-in-cheek and cautionary tale, the song explores what happens when heartbreak, disappointment and betrayal harden into bitterness.Rather than celebrating becoming the villain, the song asks a confronting question: How are villains created in the first place?

“We are rarely one thing or the other,” says Page.  “Within the same person can exist hope and despair, faith and doubt, forgiveness and resentment. Some days we soar. Other days we struggle beneath the weight of everything we’ve carried.”

  An International Songwriting Competition semi-finalist, Jo Page has spent more than 16 years performing across Australia, opening for artists including Eskimo Joe, Birds of Tokyo, Daryl Braithwaite and Shannon Noll. Held during Pre-Muster in August, the program will see Jo collaborate with fellow emerging artists while being mentored by award-winning songwriters and respected industry professionals.The experience will provide Jo with the opportunity to develop new material, expand her songwriting skills, and build valuable industry connections. As part of the program, she will also perform at the Academy Showcase during the Gympie Music Muster, giving audiences a glimpse of one of Australia’s rising country music talents.In other news, Jo has also been announced as a finalist in the prestigious Listen Up Music Competition, an award-winning mental health music charity that celebrates original songwriting while raising awareness and supporting mental wellbeing through music. Jacquie Roar is back with “Lie With You,” a sultry, contemporary country duet featuring fellow  The Voice Season 24 artist Stee.Jacquie and Stee first met competing on  The Voice, where both Roar and Stee received the coveted 4 Chair turn in the blinds. Jacquie advanced all the way to the finale, placing 4th.  Building a friendship in such an high stress experience, and continuing a real-life connection in the aftermath brings an undeniable chemistry to the record. “Lie With You” captures the tension of wanting someone you know you probably shouldn’t and the temptation to cross that line anyway.Jacquie is also a  co-writer on the song, alongside an impressive team of Nashville writers:  Grammy Award-winning songwriter Jordan Gray (Shaboozey & Jelly Roll’s “Amen”),  Jesse Slack (Owen Riegling’s “Moonshines”),  Steve Fee (Max McNown’s “A Lot More Free”),  Jason Mater, who produced the single (country, mainstream and major sync credits), and  Christian Pond, Jacquie’s guitarist and band member.The result is a  fresh, sexy, radio-ready country duet with a built-in story and two artists whose  Voice connection gives the record an authentic point of difference.“Lie With You” is about chemistry you can’t ignore… And the moment when temptation wins.
