Darren Coggan – Secrets And Regrets

Secrets and regrets, we all have them, things we would do differently if given the chance.
In his deeply vulnerable new offering, Darren confronts life’s inner hurdles that come to haunt us and balances the profound sorrow of goodbye with a beautiful, ultimate message of hope and healing. The raw honesty of the songs’ lyric explores the ache of wanting to rewrite history while grappling with the scars and the heavy burden when things are left unsaid. It honours the beautiful highs of an intense love and allows the listener to reflect upon the notion that life can be complicated. “This song is a little more vulnerable than I’ve been willing to be before and I guess writing it was somewhat of a therapy session for me.” Darren shares. “We all make mistakes and we all have days that we wish we could start over again. Tell the ones you hold close, that you love them, every day, life is short.”

With a swag of Golden Guitars, Independent Country Music Awards and the coveted Toyota Star Maker under his belt, Darren has carved an impressive career in the Australian country music industry, defined by authenticity and connection. Darren’s last two single releases, ‘Always Believe In Love’ and ‘First Light’, were both warmly embraced by radio, hitting the number one position on the AMPRAP Country/Blues & Roots charts and Australian Country Radio charts respectively. In the wake of that success, Darren continues to do what he’s always done best; connect, and his new offering, ‘Secrets And Regrets’, will no doubt shine its own light into the hearts of music fans alike.

Dee White – Sugar

Americana artist Dee White brings classic country storytelling combined with the true sound of the Grand Ole Opry, country-soul swagger and Southern charm to Australian audiences with the release of his new single “Sugar” and the announcement of his January 2027 Australian tour.  A sunlit country-soul plea wrapped in a classic country love story, “Sugar” follows a lovesick man waiting at a Tennessee train station for the woman who left him behind to chase the bright lights of Broadway. Written by Buzz Cason and Anthony Crawford, the track has long been a live favourite for White, who has finally committed the song to record with producer Sergio Sanchez and a standout guitar contribution from Daniel Donato.Blending heartfelt storytelling, a touch of swing and a healthy dose of Southern charm, “Sugar” captures the stubborn hope of a man who still believes his love might come home. White delivers the song with warmth and conviction, turning heartbreak into something listeners can dance to, while the train-bound narrative gives the track a timeless country feel perfectly suited to Australian country radio.Hailing from the tiny community of Slapout, Alabama,  Dee White is an artist who proudly embraces his “old soul” identity. Deeply influenced by the music of Hank Williams, Gene Watson, John Anderson, Vern Gosdin and Charlie Rich, White draws inspiration from the people, places and sounds of a bygone era.His passion for preserving the past extends beyond music. An avid antique hunter with a particular love for vintage guitars, White counts an octogenarian songwriter among his closest friends, finding inspiration in the stories and wisdom of generations before him.“I learn more from old stuff. I try to hang on to bits of it, because it’s going to be gone, as we all will be. The hope is that maybe some other young person will come along and learn something from me that I learned from an 80-year-old object or person.”That commitment to authenticity has shaped a career built on substance, musicianship and timeless songwriting. Encouraged early in his career by legendary record executive Harold Shedd, White moved to Nashville as a teenager, where he recorded his 2019 debut album,  Southern Gentleman, with acclaimed producers Dan Auerbach and David Ferguson. The album introduced audiences to a young artist with a remarkable understanding of classic country and Americana, featuring contributions from Alison Krauss and Ashley McBryde. White subsequently took his music to the road, opening for major artists including Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss and Ashley McBryde, gaining valuable experience and further developing his stagecraft. In 2025, White released his sophomore album,  Heart Talkin’, produced by Grammy-winning producer Tony Brown. Recorded live on the floor at Sound Emporium and The Castle with an elite group of Nashville musicians, the album reinforced White’s dedication to detailed songwriting, controlled vocals and authentic Southern storytelling.

From energetic chicken-picking numbers to intimate ballads,  Heart Talkin’ showcased an artist who remains firmly grounded in the traditions of country music while continuing to develop his own distinctive sound.Since the release of  Heart Talkin’, White has continued to expand his profile as a live performer and independent artist. He has returned to the  Grand Ole Opry stage, performed at renowned venues and events including  AmericanaFest and the Bluebird Café, and built a dedicated following through his ongoing residency series at  Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge in Madison, Tennessee. Now, White is set to make his highly anticipated return to Australia in  January 2027, building on his first Australian visit in October 2019, which saw him perform shows along the eastern seaboard. As part of his Australian return, White will perform at the  Tamworth Country Music Festival on Monday 18 January, appearing on the  Toyota Park main stage for Americana in the Park, in front of an estimated audience of up to 5,000.“I wish I could adequately express how excited I am to be returning to Australia. Ever since touring down there in 2019 I knew I had a special connection with the Aussie people. They truly understand and appreciate my art in a capacity that fulfils me in the most thorough way. I love that country and its folks, and we are going to have an absolute blast. I can’t wait to get down under.”   Dee WhiteWith the release of “Sugar” and his upcoming Australian performances, Dee White continues to demonstrate the enduring appeal of classic country storytelling, soulful vocals and genuine musicianship.
