Dan Davidson – Ain’t That The Truth

CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC STAR DAN DAVIDSON RELEASES HIS NEW SINGLE, “AIN’T THAT THE TRUTH”
Platinum-selling Canadian country artist, songwriter, and producer Dan Davidson returns with his new radiant, love-struck single “Ain’t That The Truth,”: out now on all streaming platforms.Produced in Nashville by Gavin Slate(The Reklaws, James Barker Band), “Ain’t That The Truth” is pure modern-country magic–an ode to that electric spark that happens when you know you’re falling in love.  With gut-level certainty and ‘cards on the table’ vulnerability, the track delivers both heart and energy, combining a sleek, modern country sound with the signature storytelling that has defined Dan’s career.“This was one of those songs that just came out so naturally,” says Davidson. “It’s actually pretty rare for me to write with just one other person, but Gavin and I sat down together and within a couple hours it feltlike we had something really special. Sometimes a song just lands perfectly on the first try–this was one of those. The demo had everything it needed, and it only took a few small tweaks to become the final version.”Dan once again pushes the boundaries of music video production with the official “Ain’t That The Truth” video, directed by Travis Nesbitt: and filmed at Cook County Saloon in Edmonton, AB. At first glance, the video appears to be a classic country music clip, but a few eerie moments of foreshadowing hint that something more is brewing.
The release of “Ain’t That The Truth” continues a banner year for Davidson, following his irresistible summer single “Buckle Rubbin’”: which debuted at #30 on Australia’s CountryTown Top 50 Airplay Chart and has since surpassed 200,000 global streams. It also marked the debut release on SkySong Records, the newly launched boutique label Davidson co-founded with country heavyweights Jason McCoy and Clayton Bellamy (The Road Hammers) and philanthropist Craig Senyk , in partnership with ABC Music/The Orchard.
A true powerhouse in the Canadian country scene, Dan Davidson has built unstoppable momentum with over 35 million global streams, 20 Canadian Country Music Award (CCMA) nominations, 10 Alberta Country Music Awards (ACMA), a platinum-certified single, and multiple Top 20 hits. Known for his fun-loving spirit and high-energy performances, Davidson has taken his music to audiences around the world, performing in eight countries including China, France, Italy, and Australia, and setting a record with 120 dates on Brett Kissel’s We Were That Song Tour – the most extensive tour in Canadian history. Most recently, at the 2025 CCMA Awards, Davidson earned multiple nominations including Music Collaboration of the Year for “Won’t Forget” with Tim Hicks & Max Jackson, Country Personality of the Year (with Stella Stevens on CFCW), and Country Music Program of the Year for Heartstrings & Honky Tonks .
