ROBBIE MORTIMER PRIMED FOR BREAKTHROUGH YEARNew EP, single and major festival debut signal a defining year forAustralia’s rising country star
Australian country-rock artist Robbie Mortimer is stepping into 2026 as one of the genre’s most exciting emerging voices – a year marked by new music, major festival appearances and growing industry buzz that’s shaping him into the artist to watch in 2026. On March 13 2026 Mortimer will release his anticipated EP Notes From A Very Loud Mind, a bold statement that channels his energy as a frontman and storyteller. Leading the charge is the EP’s first single ‘Might Be The Night’ dropping on February 20, a love-story anthem crafted for headline-ready singalongs and festival crowds alike. Written with acclaimed Nashville songwriters including Matt McKinney, Andrew Jannakos and Alex Maxwell and produced by Jared Adlam, ‘ Might Be The Night’ track reflects Mortimer’s signature blend of high-impact hooks and heartfelt lyrics, drawing on the thrill of big moments and the belief that anything can happen when the night begins. ‘Might Be The Night’ will feature on Mortimer’s March 13 EP Notes From A Very Loud Mind, which he explains as “A deliberate statement of who I am right now as an artist and a frontman. It was written with the live stage in mind, especially high-energy environments like CMC Rocks, where songs are meant to be felt together – loud and in the moment.” Mortimer’s forthcoming CMC Rocks QLD debut – performing on both the Tailgate and Rebel stages – will mark a major milestone in his live career, introducing his latest material directly to one of Australia’s biggest country audiences.
Backed by recent streaming success, festival slots and industry buzz, 2026 is shaping up as the year Mortimer transitions from rising talent to a breakout force in Australian country music.
