Multi-JUNO and CCMA Award-winning band James Barker Band continue to push their sound forward with “ Hey Honey,” their latest single, out today via Universal Music Canada. Produced by Todd Clark (Noah Kahan, Lewis Capaldi, Phillip Phillips) and co-written by Lowell (Beyoncé, Tate McRae, Backstreet Boys).
Hey Honey” takes another step down the path they began exploring with their previous
release, “After Dark,” pairing the band’s signature country instincts with a more raw, unfiltered approach to songwriting.
At its core, “Hey Honey” is about weathering the messier moments of life together. With its
vivid imagery of whiskey, fire, smoke and the aftermath of a long night, the song captures the tension, frustration and ultimately the optimism that comes with knowing there’s always another day to start again.
